2: I think Nashville expects more than that for one of, if not the best young goaltender in the game. They wanted the Habs 5th overall two years ago and offered Askarov.

3: If the Leafs somehow trade for Askarov, he instantly becomes your best goaltender.

At a minimum Askarov still has value equivalent to his 11th OA selection point. If you want him you've got to come close to that value in a trade and definitely Robertson, who's basically worth a 3rd right now, isn't coming close on his own. He's an add-in to something of value. The Leafs might get there with Cowan + Robertson, but if a team like Chicago, San Jose or Jersey decided they were interested - they have better pieces, more of them and higher valued draft capital. If I'm a young team on the rise, I would definitely be calling Nashville with some type of significant offer.
