Yeah, I'd never go on a bike right next to cars going 100 km/h. I'm glad for those who enjoy it but.... the cycling paths are enough for me.
- Scabeh

sure but they always cross roads, some sections are real jokes ( like a line on the ground) etc etc

Mais les tites routes de campagnes oui c'est un peu fou

only for people with dark minds

joke aside we bike a lot and its pretty scary, all it takes is a douche bag on its phone...

- Xizord

he was drunk, car he was passing went to left across the yellow line to give cyclists room and the guy passing then passed on the right and ran into them likely going fast since he was passing.

I know cyclists can sometimes be annoying, but when poop like this happens it's usually the person driving the vehicle that wasn't paying attention and/or was drunk driving.

It happened in Jersey.

So obviously I'm blaming the whole state.

we have the bike lanes but people don't even pay attention to them. new jersey drivers actually are horrible.

there are probably worse places than others but unfortunately I think there are dumb drivers everywhere, no place is actually "safe" from them.

every day when i get to the intersection before my neighborhood there are cars driving in the bike lane next to me because it's more important that they make the right at the light and get home 20 seconds earlier than to not kill some weirdo in shorts that are way too tight for anybody's comfort.

Yeah, they have some posts on the ones along Pierrefonds Boul.... still do not feel safe riding through that part, regardless.

They have nice paths, further along, on the inside of the sidewalk.

the ones I hate the most are the unidirectionnal ones that are narrow and are just separated from the traffic lane with paint

yeah I get it lol, sometimes it even sounds a bit cringe.

but I think for a lot of people it's not even all that religious, "thoughts and prayers" is just a common thing you see posted online in such circumstances.

you guys know what i think of religion already but if it makes people feel better, i figure let them believe it. it's when they start trying to push it that i start to have a problem with it.

and "thoughts and prayers", while cringy indeed is just something some people say because it's what people are conditioned to say. i might even say it to someone in a situation like this and i haven't prayed since lisa wolf misunderstood the pregnancy test results.

yeah, you shouldn't be bothered by other people's beliefs imho, especially if they don't directly have an impact on you.
