I was just trying to go by what everyone else calls it. Maybe there's different levels and not every AI-generated image is one, but it's still a fake. So maybe a "shallow-fake" instead? Nonetheless, no deeper than that AI-generated pool.

well the whole AI thing is still fairly new, so I guess the terms and definitions being used to describe it might not be all that clear yet...


anyway, from my understanding of what constitutes "deep fake", it's usually referring to a picture or a video depicting a known person/place with great precision and likeness, to the point where it's getting hard to tell whether or not it's AI-generated.

but that's just making it too easy for Skynet to hack our robot cooks and poison us all so that machines can easily take over humanity.
