How old was your Striper? I like the look of those boats but I found out they don't make them anymore.

I've never liked them, or Gradys, we have a Double Eagle, it's made for fishing.

Elliotte on Demko's injury:

He's going to have to learn to play with this. It's not something that can be fixed with surgery. It's something he's going to have to learn to play through and he can play through to a high level.

I believe the correct scientific name for it is Marner Syndrome.

That is better…a few players on the team need some balls if they want to compete/ win in the playoffs.

Holy (frank) it's starting already? I'm not even fully ready for football.

I must say that as I age I truly appreciate the last days of summer more than ever.

I can really see it in my father. The dread that summer is over even though we get most of our outdoor enjoyment from spring and fall. Winter being on the tails of fall and all. I can see he looks at it as it may be his last...

That's sad, make sure it's a good one.

Fall is great, it just leads into winter. I love late spring as it leads into summer and fall.

Fall is my favorite season. The days are usually comfortably warm, the nights cool for comfy sleeping. Steelhead and Coho are in the rivers up north... the elk and moose are rutting... leaves changing color and reflecting that orangy red low angled sunlight... the outdoor pot is in full bud, changing colors and ready to harvest!

Fall is often wonderful here, other times it's a tropical storm. I like it, just not as much as summer.
