You know, the fact that I know it annoys some twats on here, yourself included, makes it all that much more fun to keep posting Petey stuff.
I know he has flaws, he's so soft it's embarrassing, however, offensively, he is one of the best Canuck draft picks in their history. So, I'm happy they have him, he's been a big part of the turnaround for the organization. JT Miller said one of the reasons he wanted to be here long term was because of Petey and his skill.
He kinda reminds me of Nicklaus Backstrom, the soft Swede who people used to crap all over, until he was a big part of the Caps Cup win in 2018. Ended up being one of 98 players in league history to ever reach 1000 points.

Haha…I’m sure he has the Canucks take care of his healthcare needs, or goes to Sweden to get any healthcare needs outside of hockey. Sweden has a very efficient well ran system which is ranked top ten in the world.
Non-hockey related story, I was talking to Eddie Lack a couple weeks ago, he just wrote his US citizenship test but said he gave up his Swedish citizenship, or will give up. I’m sure he can easily afford US healthcare but giving up that Swedish system seems foolish.

Non-hockey related story, I was talking to Eddie Lack a couple weeks ago, he just wrote his US citizenship test but said he had to give up his Swedish citizenship as they don’t allow dual. I’m sure he can easily afford US healthcare but giving up that Swedish system seems foolish. - Pacificgem
If you can afford top US healthcare you're foolish to pay into another system as well. I'm sure Eddie crunched some numbers and realized he'd pay less going that route than any other. I highly doubt Sweden paid for his American medical costs.
Private healthcare is wonderful if/when you can afford it. There are just so few people that can afford it all the time. Eventually, we all get old and people that could afford it when they were young no longer can.......when they likely need it the most.

Swedish healthcare does not cover US fees. It would probably fly you home for care, or cover emergency care if you paid extra ( just like Canada ). There's no sense paying for both if you have a family in the US and can afford US care. Most people can't.
