I love the Tippett critics that give frost a pass.

meanwhile we’re here talking about who can play with frost to make him look good since he is incapable of elevating other players

To me most of these arguments are tallest midget stuff.

that means nothing. the flyers had to reach a certain minimal criterion to move forward.

They met that and league said ok go. Doesn't mean it is a slam dunk they will win case by any means.

- hello it's me 2050

I never said it was a slam dunk, only that I believe the Flyers will come out at a minimum with a settlementm which is a very good thing.

It's embarrassing isn't it? He must not have a life based on how much time he spends on this forum arguing with people over the smallest wording.

LOL, just about is not outside of the top 10
- MJL

LOL, Tippet is in the top 1.6% of the league in shot attempts and shots on goal. Are you really going to die on this hill??

The only thing that is the smallest is your brain. Pasternak, who took the most shots attempts in the league. Took 174 more shot attempts than Tippet did. That is not a small difference and is certainly not "just about" as many. You were wrong and proven wrong. It's not a big deal. It's an every day occurrence for you. You should be used to it.

That was not your original statement. Perhaps you should realize your error and think, maybe that should've been your statement. The hill I'm on is the correct one.

Again, I didn't say he had the most, but that he had more than most which is 100% accurate. You just need to get a life and spend more time studying the San Jose Sharks prospect list.

saving a potential few million on the cap this year for what? the optics and another bad check mark do not look good no matter how this turns out is not a good thing.

why piss off player agents and players? why piss off the nhl pa? over 1 year of keeping this guy on the injured list.

Nope, that was not your statement either. You said that he had more shot attempts than "just about any player in the league"

It didn't take much studying to point out the other ignorant comment you made that the Sharks don't have a prospect on Michkov's level. Every day, without failure, you step in it

Both of your erroneous statements have been corrected with the facts.

From where in the above statement did you get the idea that I am in the league? Am I missing something? The Avs traded for him because they needed a top notch center very badly at the time.

But he was a known lazy guy with bad rep in the dressing room according to you. The Aves could have gone anywhere else..

The League must think it has a good case since if it did get to an arbitrator it would potentially set a precedent for the league as whole going forward. It would be much more devastating to the league if Johansen wins. They wouldn’t ok this if they didn’t think the Flyers had a better than average chance of winning.

What if Frost and MM become the poor man's version of the Sedin twins? Frost never reaches 20 goals but gets 50+ assists per season. Michkov is a 30+ goal scorer.

I'd take that in a heartbeat.

Don't agree. They can advise the flyers can't tell them no.

Whether it is a strong case or weak we may never know. Like I said before they have at least met the minimal criteria to proceed. they likely know it will end up being a settlement. so, for them it is probably considered a win.

ryjo has 60 days I read to file an appeal. will he use the full 60?

Do I really need to explain this? It happens in all sports. Players have a bad rep or are considered lazy, but teams will always take a chance on them if they are considered high end talent. It's worth a shot to the organization and he was brought there to fill a need.

I’m not buying what you’re trying to sell. I don’t think you knew “RyJo” was a bad apple. Especially if you heard it on NHL radio. In fact I’m pretty sure they try to avoid the character of players topics. Torts is also not a ringing endorsement of character.

Do you honestly think the Flyers would piss off the entire league over this? If the league told them no the Flyers are backing down because this would affect every team. This is a league deathly afraid of offer sheets because the GMs don’t want to be pariahs. The NHL only signs off on this if they think it likely the Flyers win. If the Flyers don’t win a huge amount of power goes back to the players and agents and that is something no one would want in the NHL.

if they told them no, in the sense the case is weak, yes I agree they dont go forward. That being said until the evidence comes out this is no slam dunk case. a settlement also doesn't look all that good for either party. that is why I hope it goes the distance.

also the flyers march to the tune of their own drum always have so yes, I do think they don't care much about other teams.

he would be on long term injured list. so he is persona non grata.

So is RR a POS for waiting to get his surgery? Or how about any other player who tries rehab first? surgery is usually a last resort.

- hello it's me 2050

RR isnt claiming he cant play despite playing 63 games with another club and not using his injury to avoid being sent down.

RyJo is doing this, he didn't wait until September to do surgery because he was trying to rehab. He did it so he would miss most if not all the season and collect his money/not get sent to Allentown

Well, not to defend JD here, but considering there are approx 768-800 players in the NHL, his statement was pretty accurate.

You can say what you want about Torts, but look at his track record. Players that he has discarded continue to bounce all around the league after they leave the team that he removed them from. He seems to be a pretty good judge of character from where I sit. You think I'm making up what I heard on NHL radio? That's all they do is talk hockey. You think they don't get into players personalities? They certainly do and they've thrown many a player under the bus if they deem them worthy of such treatment. Hell, tune into Boomer and Jake Hahn in season. They have a fantasy show where they literally BOMB players for sucky play!

the point was they delayed surgery because they rehabbed first.

his motives don't matter as long as he was rehabbing and following the doctors program. if he wasn't then easy flyers win. I have a hard time believing he wasn't rehabbing then decided it wasn't working and needed surgery. do I believe he is stinging this along yes I do. doesn't matter, however if he followed his off-season program.

did ryjo get an end of year physical? if so would love to see if the flyers doctors passed him or what they recommended. did he fail said physical?

Be careful. I said something similar a few months ago and got thrashed. Haha. You won’t have many agree with you on that point but I think OT has the ability and potential to be a 40 guy. My opinion and $2.97 will feget you a 20oz coffee at Wawa. 😂
