While I don't like Hextall nor think he was a good GM at all, I think he gets too much blame for the Patrick draft. Most folks were either going to take him or the guy Jersey took. It's funny how many folks have 20/20 vision after things happen. That being said, I was really hoping that Jersey would have taken him cause I didn't like the fact that he had an injury history at such a young age.

I just received my Hockey News Yearbook yesterday and the tankers on here will be happy! THN has the Flyers finishing 7th in the Metro only ahead of Columbus and has them finishing only ahead of the BJ's and Habs in the east. Out west, the Flyers are projected to finish ahead of Anaheim, Calgary and San Jose. So if my math is correct that would see the Flyers drafting 6th. They had no players in the top 50 (shocker), and they have the Devils and Stars in the Finals with the Stars hoisting the Cup!

Flyers win it all in 2025. And again in 2026. But they'll go to the big finale in 2027 and lose it, so they'll once again be an "almost dynasty" just like the first time.
