I would be really worried if he did what Levis did with the lead. He didn't, didn't have any critical mistakes in a tight game, and really was the difference between winning and losing.
- BetweenTheDots

Center and Right Guard are still killing us. It was a really hot ball and Allen only had his hands out but Williams threw it perfectly or there's a 100 yard pick 6 and Allen has to make that catch for a touchdown.

I'll take the under on most of those guys. Hopefully, not Reichel.

C and RG, first week, let's let the oline develop some chemistry

Football is a game of inches, that's why it's so hard to get a franchise QB.

Really hard to develop any chemistry when you are getting pushed 3 yards back on half the plays. At some point the C needs to learn how to anchor himself otherwise it's going to be ugly for a while.

Was the center facing an all pro calibre DL and a 372 pound pretty good rookie Second DL Tiugh battle for any center.

Agree, but i think the LG in a way tripped the center inadvertently on a play where he looked really bad, another he didn't pick up the stunt, let's give it a heartbeat

I'm a Hawk fan, I've got plenty of patience!!

All kidding aside, I know it's gonna take time, but just something that needs to be addressed.

The Prospect Tournament in STL between the Hawks, STL and MN starts next Friday. The great news is the Hawk games will be streamed at their site. Bamford has the lowdown on tournament/Hawk info. .. We're a week away from seeing Levshunov skating as a Hawk. ..... https://www.bleachernatio...urvers-prospect-showcase/

If you're gonna watch which Hawk prospects are you most excited/curious to see in the tournament?... If I had to rank em I'm watching for Spellacy followed by Lardis then Levshunov..

Looking at Spellacy's numbers for the first time at Elite Prospects I was floored. Kid showed 15 games played before playing OHL as a 17 yr old!! I wanna zoom in on a kid who played low level hockey, and only 15 games of it, before playing a season of OHL as a 17 yr old. This is as crazy an EP page of a drafted prospect I can remember. https://www.eliteprospect...player/790498/aj-spellacy

Talk about possible/probable untapped talent???? Good chance the 6ft 3in 200lb 18 yr old centerman is that guy. ........ But the spotlight will be on Levshunov and should be. A reasonable ceiling of an all situations #1 Dman that has size and can skate don't come around often, not to mention a load of draft capital was used on the kid.

This guy is a fit as a #7-8 Dman. The guy fights first game back from a broken jaw. That's a helluv an example for young players to have in an organIzation. A guy who played hundreds and hundreds of AHL games into his 30's, IIRC, has the kind of experience that is helpful to young players.

Good for Tinordi.

There’s no denying that Tinordi laid it on the line, but unfortunately he’s a liability defensively.

Like a lot of Hawks last year, Tinordi was slotted way above his ability/pay grade, if you limit him to #6 defenseman and second PK minutes he won’t hurt you for the most part.

No doubt I'm one of the few Tinordi guys here. He's absolutely huge and IMO his skating is a plus. He's a balanced skater, the kind I prefer (go ahead Tinordi detractors and mention how he's constantly knocked down).

I'll be the first to admit his IQ ain't that great but he's in a long long list on that account. But his size, skating, will and cap hit far outweighs that if slotted properly, which to me is a 7-8 Dman on a good club.

Always reminds me of the great Earl Weaver. When asked why he sat a 5th infielder who is on a 7 for 18 run, he replied you pencil in a utility infielder for 2 weeks and he'll show you why he's a utility player.

Indeed. Slot a 7th Dman in the 5 slot and he'll show you why he's a 7th Dman in a week, or less. .......

I agree on Spellacy. Ive been spending more time watching our prospects and he could be a nice find. Size speed alot to like.

You’re going to have to wait longer to see Levshunov in a Hawks uniform. He’ll miss this tournament with a foot injury.

Figures, another KFC fail, he seems to draft injury prone guys. Like that plug they drafted first overall last year, he was injured for most of the year.
