yes but Matheson and Savard aren't top pairing guys either on a good team... we've been over all of this anyway, a bunch of times lol.

we just really don't see the same thing. personally what annoys me in all of this is that habs fans have been complaining about coaches in MTL for decades now, and it's been a recycling carousel of the same old schmucks for years. the criticism that is left over is mainly due to the fact that the habs have literally never been through a rebuilding process in their entire history, and fans simply aren't accustomed to that sort of thing, imho.

yup, it does seem that players are motivated to play for a guy like St-Louis. very curious to see the habs documentary coming out soon, we might see some of those behind-the-scenes leadership and motivational skills at work.

I don't hate MSL, he has very nice upsides obviously. good for the kids, good for the smaller players, good for tv...
I just hate his man2man defense. and the proof has been made, we all saw them spend half the games running around like chickens in their zone trying to get the puck back.
if all other teams were playing the same style... I'd stfu. but they're not. most of them if not all of them play zone defense.
