Buyouts coming of the books at end of season

Jeff Petry ... $2,343,750
Jake Allen ... $1,925,000

Total ... $4,268,750

UFA's after this season

Christian Dvorak ... $4,450,000
Joel Armia ... $3,400,000
Jake Evans ... $1,700,000
Michael Pezzetta ... $812,000
Alex Barre-Boulet ... $775,000
David Savard ... $3,500,000

Total ... $14,637,000

That will free up a long of cap room from those they decide not to resign.

- Garfield512

Slaf's contract is starting though so it's like 5M$ already gone from that number.

I was thinking for that blogger thing, if you ever feel that officially taking the job is a bit much I can always alternate with you and share the load when needed, if that's a possibility. I just have no clue about the details like how often you're supposed to be writing blogs and how you're being paid, although I don't really give a poop about getting 25 or 50 bucks if it's for a whole month lol.
- Pat1993

Well it was never really my intention to become the full time blogger, I just wanted us to remain on the main page and I'm having fun writing a few pieces from time to time.

I don't think I'll accept the position of "official" blogger after all. I'd rather just keep what I've been doing.

You're more than welcome to contribute yourself as another guest blogger. So far I've only sent my pieces to the guy that handles the blogger and he posts them on the site.

Like we have been saying for a few years, HuGo have done a masterful job of stockpiling picks / assets, while setting up the cap for 25/26 season and beyond.

That is when I think they weaponize all those pieces and turn this around the corner into a playoff team. Will take a year or 2 after that for them to look to make a deep run in the playoffs, but it should happen.

It’s the curse of Patrick Roy, it should last as long as it did for Boston after trading Ruth
