Thanks Yorkie!
I hope Lekkerimakki can step up this year, but I also hope we do not rush the kid. Watching him in the Young All-Stars tourney was inspiring, and I hope he takes a massive step in the right direction regarding his development.
I wish DJ and Demko a speedy recovery, as well! - Bakwas
I hope Leki shows well & takes another step but still goes down to Abby to further up his development.
I’d be happy if Demko progresses well & isn’t over worked. Need the back up to perform & allow him rest. On Dak his absence will allow another somebody to step in & provide energy & depth. That’ll be needed in the long haul. |

I like how GM Alvin doesn't seem to overspend on how much they budget for a player.
eg letting Zadorov walk and not over spending on Lankinen. - dbot
Desharnais a good value signing to replace big Z & save on the cap. 👍🏻 |

Agreed on Dessharnais is good value and a big body, but i don't think he replaces what Zadorov brings (speed, puck carrying, swagger, etc).
just my .02

It’s a $ ball signing like the majority of their contracts. He will replace 75% of what Zadorov did at a 3rd of the cost |

They were willing to pay Z 2/3rds more for 25% more of what Dessharnais does then... but Z took the exact same $$ to play in Boston.

Yes, correct. They pivoted to greater depth and value signings when they couldn’t come to terms with Zad/ Lind. Pretty intelligent strategy |

Should secure them the option to trade Demko later in the season if they like depending on how Silovs is playing. - boonerbuck
This whole Demko situation is bizarre. |

8 Coho between 12-15 and not one of them a hatchery fish, at least I out fished my partner 6 to 2. We'll give it another go tomorrow. It was a beautiful day out there for the last day of summer. |

I never said I thought the GM was an idiot, and for the record I'm not against paying young guys early to get ahead of the curve. But with Guenther specifically it feels like an overpay to me.
I can't see him raising his value much higher than 7-8 mil over the lifetime of the deal, so I just don't see it saving the team money, even in the long run. I think if you bridge him for 1 or 2 years, there is very little danger of having to pay him more than they already have. But hey, maybe I'm wrong and he scores 40 goals this season - NorthNuck

Not really. There is no conspiracy going on. He has a weird injury and is recovering slowly |

Not bad speed but agree & not the puck carrying for sure. As for swagger remains to be seen imo. Has a different kind of swag. |

You are talking about their plan B though. What would the team look like right now if plan A had come to be? Z and Lindholm actually signed for 10-12 or more mil combined?
So far their plan A's that failed have been a blessing. Remember they tried to trade Miller while they were trying to sign Horvat? Miller and PA both talked about tryin to find a trade partner for him. They couldnt and Horvat wouldnt budge on his 8mil so they went with plan B and signed Miller and traded Bo.
