My only question for the season is, do you think Benson's ceiling is more than 30 or do you think he's stuck there forever

Bensons ceiling is higher than 30. He’s 19. So don’t expect the world from him just yet.


Also remember the Sabres have played 2 AHL rosters with all NHL players

I am happy to see him playing on L2 and producing.

I don't care that it is against mostly AHL competition in the 2 preseason games as I'm not using that to project what his in-season production will be. Rather, if he has chemistry with Quinn and Cozens, which he is showing once again he has.
For me, that is great news as I'm leary of Zucker there long term.

I would much rather see Benson on L2 and grow his game faster by doing so, rather than have a guy who won't be here next season taking that spot.

could be 40 points

could be 70 points

ice time, pp time, linemates and his ability to make plays/cash in all play a part in this

30 points wows some, girgens peaked in year 2 with 30 points and johan larsson had 21 points in his last 43 games

the dominance in these games means little to me. It's the way they're playing, the individual skill and the habits that are significantly more important. And they look leagues better than they did last preseason.

That was a sloppy mess and we all knew it from the get go.
