I met him once, very briefly, at an autograph signing at his restaurant down in Boca(?). He did seem pretty damn arrogant.
Still, he was an incredible ball player.

Who is the last big player to sit out a season, in a contract dispute?
I know we have to worry about small market stuff. I don't think Boston even considers not getting this ironed out. - Lunaion
It's rare, but a lot of them are for star/premier players. I remember Yashin held out, Bure, Messier did for a while, even our own Mike Peca. Not sure the most recent though. I believe there was some change with the last CBA about this that made it a little less viable. That being said, Swayman has decided to not play right now, so it's definitely a possibility. You may be right, the chances are low on a full year, but I'd expect a trade to occur before that.

Houser may be better. He is an ECHL/AHL tweener from the looks of it. Nice part is that Ratzlaff is already better than both. We should have a decent AHL tender in him next year.

Sandstrom is legit bad. Really nice to see the Ratz looking sharp this camp. Didn't expect Leenders to get blown out of the water. And I liked Leinonens dcamp. Hoping that goes in a good direction this year.
