For the record ND has no place on an NHL roster.
I would rather Ollie play so at least the 4th line can be put out more than 6 minutes a game on average.

Hey look at the brightside, if anyone on the Islanders messes with Farabee, Nick will be there to chase them around the ice, and if he catches them, beat them up. I think Lycksell is going to make the Flyers somehow, possibly over Brink, who unfortunately I think is still in Tort's crosshairs.

Why trade Risto? 1. He has trade value for contending teams looking for a physical presence on their backend, 2. He makes too much money and the Flyers need the cap space, 3. There are kids ready to step in and take his spot (Andrae, Ginning for example). Depending on matchups game to game, I don't mind if Andrae starts out as the 7th defenseman and works his way into the lineup due to injuries or strong play. Not sure how much more he is going to develop in the AHL.

Would you rather Andrae develop under Lappy or under Torts and Shaw? For me, I want him with Shaw, who has shown since he has been here he can develop defenseman, e.g York, Risto and even Walker last season.

I’m watching the PHLY Flyers podcast right now, and they’re just going off about the amount of pre season games there are. Not to mention, making the interesting point that the Flyers last pre season game is against the Devils and supposedly the Devils first regular season game is the next night in another continent…which means the Flyers aren’t really playing the Devils the night before, which could risk injury for the Flyers.

I have no idea what the Devils schedule is and nor do I care, but if the Devils really play in Philly, and then play overseas to open their regular season the next night that is a serious gaffe by the league. Pretty long flight and they also would lose 5 hours of time flying to Europe.

Would you rather Andrae develop under Lappy or under Torts and Shaw? For me, I want him with Shaw, who has shown since he has been here he can develop defenseman, e.g York, Risto and even Walker last season.

The literally did what you are claiming they wont do last season. They had Walker who was playing great in a top 4 role and moved him despite holding a playoff position. They are not in Win mode yet. Briere would just like the young players on the team to taste the playoff atmosphere. Playoff games are significantly different than regular seasojn games.

If they make the playoffs this year I will eat my shorts. I just don't see it. You have the Rags, Devils, Canes, Cats, Laffs and Bruins probably finishing in the top 3 of their respective divisions. The Bolts will probably nab one of the wild card spots, so that leaves one spot for the Isles, Caps, Pens, Sens, Sabres and Flyers.

I understand that it's a binary choice right now but my preference is that they get rid of the entire coaching staff. The issue is that you think that Shaw is something that he is not. He is an average assistant coach and he hasn't shown to me that he is anything special as a coach. York is a young player still developing. Walker just needed to get healthy and Ristolainen has not improved. He has regressed as a Flyer. Not at all blaming that on Shaw. It was bound to happen with Ristolainen.

Brink has looked pretty good in the pre season action I have seen of him.

I understand that it's a binary choice right now but my preference is that they get rid of the entire coaching staff. The issue is that you think that Shaw is something that he is not. I think they make it. So much can go wrong for a lot of those teams just like with what happened in NJ last season. Bostons starter right now is Korpisalo. Who knows how long Swayman will hold out. Hes also never been a full fledged starter. Rangers will heavily rely on shesterkin. CAR goaltending is suspect. Leafs are running pretty much a dcore full of bottom pair D. Have no fepth as usual. They heavily rely on the core 4. One of which is 34 now and showing signs of a decline

They moved Walker because they couldn't come to a contract agreement. Building the talent of the team up is significantly more important than giving any young player a taste of the playoffs. If a team is developed well, that playoff experience will eventually come inevitably. If the Flyers make the playoffs this upcoming season, that will be a disaster for this franchise. I'm hoping that they see and recognize what introducing an elite talent like Michkov can do and think, hey we need more of that and focus on the draft. However the most likely is that they think it is "go" time and escalate with trade and free agency as soon as they can.
