For me it's not about pushing vets, more about getting some chemistry. That third line was great out the gate last year and they won't have any semblance of that until Josh is back. Also, D pairing chemistry. Seeing Soucy & Desharnais live didn't give me much confidence and highlights I've seen of Desharnais haven't impressed either. As much as we hate to admit, Zadarov leaves a big hole. He carried Myers to a level not seen previously and just throwing a couple budget big bodies like Desharnais & Frobert doesn't necessarily mean a seamless fit. Ideally I'd like them to have started establishing the back-end a little sooner. I get trying to get the young guys in a couple games to start, but I think most are are at least a year or two away and no jobs seem to be legitimately up for grabs this year.

It is nice to have the season last year to build off no doubt, but with great expectations comes great responsibility!

Not seeing them work on the D partners for the start of the season is a little concerning. There are new players coming in... why waste the opportunity....

Waivers - PDG, Smith, Wolanin, Patera

Sent down - Karlsson, Lekkerimaki, Mueller, Sasson, Felton, McWard, Kudryavtsev, DPetey, Tolopilo

IMO Raty has surpassed Aman and Bains

I agree.

If I recall.. no they weren't. Joshua was in and out of the lineup and Garland had 7 points total in the first two months. poop takes time.

Yup good problem to have. It essentially puts Blueger on high alert too. Ratys more skilled, can play in all situations, more upside, produces more scoring chances than Aman, Karlsson, Sasson. Giving him regular 4th line minutes seems like the logical next step, if he falters or is inconsistent - free to send down.

That's odd because Myers played far more minutes with Soucy and Cole and had much better stats with them. The 44% Corsi he posted with Zadorov is his 2nd worst aside from a super small sample size with Hronek.

I more meant how it pushed Myers down the lineup, not necessarily as a pairing but yeah worded the way I did I get it. I don't think we have the protection in place for Myers that he had when he played his best (most reasonable) last year. While I changed my tune on Miller big time last year, Myers still infuriates me with his icings, penalties, puck over glass which seem to occur out of low pressure situations a lot of the time.

Good call, I guess it was later. Felt like that line drove the team for large stretches of the year, but wasn't to start. Still, they had it to end last year and they don't have it to start this year. I think the Garland/Joshua pairing is the key with the centre being somewhat interchangeable, although I liked it best with Blueger also for where it put other guys.

People were wanting Garland off the team early last season when he had a poor start. Even after he started playing good and RT was praising him, people refused to accept that he was playing well. I posted the opinion that they were getting much better value out of Garland than Kuzmenko which was rejected by other posters. I don't recall anyone agreeing with me. People were just slow to let go of their beef over him I guess. I mean, Kuz was getting scratched still and Garland was being a menace and was being used in the dying minutes of games while Kuz sat for entire 3rd periods. The best was yet to come from Garland as he became one of our most effective players on the team as the season went on.

Last season, the good far outweighed the bad with Myers. Unless you are expecting a mistake free unicorn on D, there should be little to get infuriated over....

You are mostly right. That line didnt start the season as a unit. Both Garland and Joshua were getting some tough love from RT but it was short lived.

The whole Bruins/Swayman saga is getting a lot of airtime on social media, what a classless POS organization they are. I kinda like saying it every day just to piss off Reuby about his favourite team.

On a more positive note, should have “the lineup” in on Friday night. With what happened to Laine and Doughty I don’t mind teams sitting out their best players for the regular season. Guys are so physically conditioned these days they’ll be in the swing of things in no time as their wasn’t a lot of change to the lineup from last season.

Ya, not sure if the POS organization that the Bruins are anything as bad as the historically great Canucks, who have the recent great Jim Benning and all of his greatness, and now they have this great management team that seams to be handling the injury situations of players very well, like Pearson, Mikheyev, Patterson, Demko, etc, etc.
Canucks= great organization, Bruins = POS organization.

Agree, now Detroit, there’s a classy organization. Great leadership and 11 Stanley Cups in their history.

I have a bad habit of backing shItty organizations like the Canucks and Bruins, unlike you, who backs the Flyers, Coyotes, Kraken, Sharks, Vegas, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Devils, and the Canucks. All of them far superior to teams that I support.

Also, I think I may have missed a few of the teams you support.

Great deal, closest Mexican beer to that American crap. Negro Modelo is the beer to buy, if you have taste buds.
