Flyers can't generate offense because they can't exit the defensive zone cleanly, it's killing their transition game.

They are going to have to find a backup strategy besides fast transition.

Constantly coughing the puck up when they finally cross the blueline doesn't help offense either.

Wasn't just Drysdale, but a lot of the Flyers were limp wristed in the 3rd period. Hopefully they bare down once the season starts. Just way too many lackadaisical mistakes that have plagued them for years.

I think that's really the difference between the Flyers making the playoffs and missing...their on ice habits. When the Flyers slump it's mostly due to lazy mistakes, but when they win those same mistakes may get overlooked or work.

They need better habits game in, game out. It's preseason and watching Pasta battle along the boards over and over winning the puck while a Flyer takes one chops at it then just stops says a lot.

I saw a little too much panic in the team when Boston pressured. Hopefully it's just rust.

The only reason Luchanko and a 9 game trial is even being discussed is because he's a recent 1st round pick the Flyers talked up...end of story.

Great skater, has some potential, but has A LOT of work to do and needs to get stronger. Why people want to rush this kid is beyond me, the 9 games is going to change nothing unless he gets injured during those games and gets put on IR.

I'm seeing people talk about this kid on social media like the Flyers drafted McDavid. Flyer fans need to stop being so impatient and wanting full roster change in 1 season.

Flyers got a great piece in Michkov, how well he does is anyone's guess, but they will eventually need more players like him in the future. The Flyers clearly want to get back to the playoffs as quick as possible, but the biggest obstacle will be their cap for the next 3 years or so. Then I'm sure they will go back to basic Flyer mode and try to buy skill.

Sounds like Jett mania has diminished. I have no problem either way. If they give him a little taste of the NHL, so be it and like I said last week, if they send him to juniors tomorrow I'm fine with that too. He obviously isn't ready for the 82 game grind that is the NHL season and no reason to put him in the deep end just yet anyway. I didn't know that the Flyers cap situation was bad for another 3 years?
