The BOD convinced themselves that the team was going to go from hideous to the edge of playoff contention in one offseason by adding one pretty good player and a bunch of retreads. And by bringing up zero of the future Hall of Famers in the system.

Yes, was just there Tuesday. Most of the damage around here was coastal from storm surge.

I'd give Hall, Bedard and Mikheyev a chance as the top line.

Play Bertuzzi and TT with D!ckinson on the 2nd line.

Foligno and Anderson with one of AA, Reichel, or Kurashev on third line.

I like Donato and Smith on the 4th line with one of Maroon, AA, or Kurashev.

The new guys will learn not to pass it to Murphy if they want anything more than it being flipped in any random direction.

Fwiw - Chicago hasn't fallen into the even strength Turtle look like they did all of the time last season. Turtle = essentially playing a box in their d zone. I saw it once tonight - so it wasn't as noticeable -I guess meaning that -well yeh ok score is what matters ... I guess they can clear the zone slightly better, bu the wheels fell off of this one at the 3rd Minne goal.

2nd goal was a real woof on Mrazek, Overall I thought they looked ok in the 1st ... but, once things go south, never seems to have any chance of recovering.

Watched the first episode of the Hawks' new series of their reality thing. I do like that as a marketing vehicle - and man Donato has arms like some peoples' thighs... didn't realise he was that big of a dude.

There will be playing time for young kids this season, we are only just getting started with the season and injuries will happen, TDL will happen. Most of the guys who were just sent down because they were close to making the cut out of camp will probably still get to play some significant minutes.

I am in agreement with what you say. The two kids I most want to see in the NHL, however, is Leveshunov and KK and they probably are best off staying an entire year + AHL playoffs. I do like what Allen and DelMaestro give but I will guess they will never be at best second pair type. The offense in Chicago needs the type game and skill Nazar brings yet perhaps it won’t be bad at all if he is in Rockford half of the season. Let him get points and learn responsibilities for a while in the AHL. I would love to see Ludwinski get to the NHL but all the other prospects are probably questionable to step in right away next season and be difference makers Which leads me to say wait for the season after next for kids to implode
