I agree with him on a piece he wrote this week. He said that the Leafs play from opening night to November 1st usually prevents them from winning the division.

A better start to the season sure would be nice.

It's a good game, a lot of scrums, watching while I work.

We're all basically waiting 82 games to see what happens in May.

I'll take a 16-0 finish over a 16-0 start, any day.

And with a new coach who has a completely different style, I wouldn't be surprised if they start off poorly trying to adjust to it. But as we saw with St. Louis, how the team responded from January until the end was what mattered most.

100% man. To be honest Leafs are a pretty good regular season team - not great. They have never won the division outside the COVID Canadian one. They need to be great this regular season and finish 1st. I agree with that. 2nd or 3rd isn’t the way the go in this division.

I think there is a fair bit of playoff carryover dislike between these 2 teams + Boston bro g down 2 before the game is 10 minutes in triggers the Boston goon it up reflex we all know so well. Lol

This makes sense but it’s the Leafs we are talking about. If they have proven anything it’s that they are an equal opportunity provider of both really good and kinda poop teams to beat them in their Round 1.
