I haven't been that unimpressed with Kampf, but tonight I've been very unimpressed with Holmberg and Robertson - and Tavares. Whoever suggested he's still fighting the flu, I think has it right. JT looks slow and off.

I watch our guys get crosschecked with no call in front of the net more often than not. So do you.

I see it called - of course - but it's another backpocket penalty - one the ref pulls out of their backpocket when they want to control momentum. I mean it SHOULD be a penalty more than the stupid stick touched the hand penalty, but it is not called as often as you're implying.

Too many times Leafs get crosschecked in the dirty areas, when the puck is elsewhere, and there is no call.

But that call on OEL was a clear crosscheck to take away a good scoring opportunity - a potential tap in.

Every ref calls that.

Fine! In that context, I will also concede that taking a scoring opportunity should be called everytime - and it typically is.

5 games in 8 days. 3 back to backs in 12 days. Glass Joe just got hurt again thinking about it.

Just got back from 10 days in Ireland. Finally got to watch a Leafs game. Stolarz looks solid. I'd be fine with him getting the bulk of the action. OEL looks much better than I anticipated. Was very skeptical of that signing but he could fit well here. Overall system and structure seems better with Tanev and OEL joining Rielly and McCabe. 3rd pair is Liljegren/Benoit? Be interesting to see what happens if/when Hankypanky gets healthy

It will. I think if they can get fair value for Liljegren, you trade him and keep Timmins as the 7D. Gets you the cap space you need.
