What bothers me is he’s playing five straight games and we were told when he was signed that it was clear he was not going to block any young players yet clearly Andre and Grans are ready to play in the NHL and Andres in the press box and Grans is with the phantoms.

The fact they came out looking like trash from the start of the game and absolutely nothing changed to the end indicates it’s not a line chemistry problem…it’s coaching and how he wants them to play.
I’m getting tired of 4th liners getting rewarded for doing nothing.

Building a good team requires honest player evaluation and development aided by analytics.
Not only does the current coach not value the traits needed to build a successful team in 2024, he intentionally refuses to use common tools available to every coach such as analytics while playing favorites.
He's succeeded with the Flyers by dumbing things down, ignoring anything he doesn't like, and being a bigger than life personality. As someone said, the most beloved coach in Flyers history who has never made the playoffs.
There are players on this team but the Flyers have been lying to their fans about where they are, what they need, and what is necessary to get those pieces.
The triumvirate is more worried about looking good on social media and TV than making the hard decisions. If they tell you how great they are long enough, people believe it.
Still can't believe they scratched Andrae again, they are never going to know what they have in him if they never play him. |
