I kind of think that last year, torts was forced by higher up to appoint a captain and tk with an a. I think he was fine with just laughed with the a tbh. It would explain a lot. It was so bizarre, Almost right after, He scratched coots and reduced his ice time to exert his authority. Otherwise, all this makes no sense. I mean coots main contribution now is faceoffs. He hasn’t been great there but omg, there’s a track record. He puts him on wing after we were trucked on faceoffs the last few games? Wow

I find it interesting Torts places Couts on the wing who is his best faceoff man. On Poehling's wing who probably has taken the most or second most faceoffs and has not been good at faceoffs and Poehling taking the draws. Just a unique strategy.

They are bottom 5 team it looks no matter what Michkov does. Only so much he can do. Couturier is totally shot. Defense is brutal. They might actually be right where they need to be

You may be right. It’s been a mess so far. Could you imagine if ers goes down? You’re looking at several 10 game losing streaks and bottom 3 in the league. If the 2025 draft is as strong as ive heard then it might work.

I agree it makes no sense but I might be wrong in that I thought I read that Coots was Torts' choice? I preferred TK as Captain. Love Coots but he's on the downside of his career.

He wont play every game. Flyers likely doing the same thing they did with Yandle, getting him to 1000 games and then hes done. 8 Games to go. Seeler is prabably ready within the next two games as well. If the plan is to get him those games Zamula probably comes out.

It must be an organizational goal to get Johnson to 1000 games for his long contributions to the team.
