I have asked wiz for his analysis on Nazar ceiling

Stop rushing these kids...look at the difference in strength and game speed that Bedard has shown in season two?
It is not realistic that any of the other Kid-hawk forwards are gonna grow much quicker than he has.
Naxar has too many tools and smarts to think he isn't a NHLer.extra
Kyle goes to his first draft by loading up with two extra draft picks by way of trading NHL player assets.
You have to think Kyle came in with the idea he was going to get a defender first to develop and a forward who plays in the league no matter if there are unmet expectations in his career.
So he goes in looking for a forward and isn't frightened that the guy he is taking is 5' 9" and under 180. (He presently is carrying 175 lbs.).
He better be hockey smart and able to understand and play a strong two way game.
You won't expect him to be Brad Marchand.
You will expect strong stick work, and great feet that will put him on equal footing with the established skater in the bigs.
Personally was impressed with his final two years in the US program becasue he continually used his speed on the forecheck to the point that it was a problem to the opposition at how quick he was on them, disrupting their space and time to move cause breakouts to fail.
(And I KNOW that USA team was full of terrific kids with offensive prowess...)
So this kid whose not small but not big either simply kept attacking the middle in the attack zone, barging into the smaller spaces between defenders, unafraid he would lose possession, and always thinking set up or if lucky, a shot.
All these skills while playing "developmental" hockey doesn't make a kid ready to do the same things as a pro.
Those advancements need to be nurtured through more strength, skill and pratcice against better competitors.
You see what strts to work, and you keep building a pro game.
JHawk59, you asked "ceiling."
You could ask this about a guy already in the bigs, like Matthew Knies, and I am not sure if I can give you an answer if he is a top six guy just yet and there are great things you see as he improves.
So trying to "ceiling" Nazar now to me can only be answered with will play pro for while if he doesn't have a huge backslide that curtails his trajectory.
(Remember when the Hawks errored so badly by not taking future
#1 defenseman Bowen Byram?)
His floor is he plays, but with time he fits as a strong two way player and can crack top 6 minutes, especially if he continues to show his 2 way prowess defensively.
He is goiing to distribute the puck well and hopefully, he finds success with other offensive minded scorers.
Late add: If you are watching the hawks tonight, you see the difference in this current veteran team to handing the keys too quickly to all thiose draft picks.
Nazar and the rest will have their chances to meet this kind of compete and heart at some point, but it will be when they are actually able to meet those expectations...
