I enjoyed when the commentator (Boucher?) said that Drysdale could learn a few things from the way Hughes plays the game and then pretty much listed everything.

Just do what the elite players do and you'll be elite!

It's still early but another showing at home on Tuesday like today and the natives might start getting restless.

I'm not asking for him to be catered to. What good reason is there not to inform a player of a position change ahead of time?

It's like last year when he got benched without being informed ahead of time. Just to be a dck is not a great reason. He goes out of his way to antagonize certain players. Maybe part of it was Torts being forced to name him captain? I don't know but it's grade school stuff.

I don't think he was the worst forward last night but the Flyers do need to figure out where he fits into their plans long term because he isn't going anywhere for the next 5 years.

If the Flyers/Jett don't turn it around next week, I can't think of any argument they could make that even the people who want to trust the Flyers can believe to keep Jett up.

We've discussed all the off ice reasons for Jett making the team and possibly staying up but if Torts believes that he needs him to win games this year, screw long term, is the one that can not be overcome. There is nobody that can tell him what to do.

At one point Boosh said the flyers could have 6 or 7 goals with the opportunities they missed lol. JJ sure has him under his wing

When has Torts cared about reality? It seems like all his decisions are made below the neck.

We need to start a FREE ANDRAE petition, it's just glaring that he keeps sitting. I have no expectations for the kid but there's no good reason why he's been a healthy scratch on the big club when they need to find out what they have with him or continue to develop him in the AHL.

Over 20 missed shots in this game from the Flyers, multiple posts and several opportunities to shoot and the Flyers passed out of it (Yes I'm tallking about you Sanheim!). Its something that has plagued this team for a few seasons now. Not sure how to break out of it except to continue to replace the players.

I watched a lot of good things from Drysdale last night. Look, he at best will be decent on the defensive end, but his real value add is his skating, movement and offensive ability so I'm willing to give up a little on the defensive end if Drysdale can more consistency drive the offense.

If we can get 3 picks in the top 20, one top 5 that would be something

I do believe the Torts mind games are starting to wear thin on the team as a whole. Couts has been discussed. Why does Hathaway not miss even a shift ever with his antics? Rookie elite RW, let's start him at LW to start the season? Pretty sure Frost got moved to wing with Laughton at center. Has Torts kept the lines together for 2 games straight this season? Don't believe so. Torts seems to have turbo charged his antics from last season as opposed to turning the mayhem down. Well, his mayhem has the team with the 4th worse record in the league.

He's a scorer and very streaky. He'll probably score 10 goals in 5 games at some point and then go back into a drought again.

Torts is becoming a smacked ass right before our eyes. Make a friggin lineup and stick with it for a few games you jackass!! I projected the Flyers to finish last in the Metro, so not a shock thus far. Last night was always gonna be a tough game with the travel and first game back from west coast. Torts will prolly do something blatant to get fired at some point. His ego is running away with itself and someone needs to smack him across the chops!!

Yeah. Thats not great. We need him to be more consistent. Not score 3 goals vs other bottom feeder clubs and then disappear for lengthy stretches. One thing that’s very clear is that this team cannot score consistently. Averaging 2.4 goals a game so far and that includes the garbage time goals vs Seattle when the game was essentially out of hand in the 3rd. I’m certain that if Sam goes down, you’re looking at bottom 3 in the league. Heck we’re already bottom 4 and you can’t expect Colorado and Nash to stay there.

I’d be just fine if he were to move on. I don’t see a world where he’s the right coach for us to progress and improve. I’d really like to have someone who is not one of the usual retreads. Go off the board and get someone who’s coaches a more up tempo game with the hope we eventually have players that can execute this. I know bill mentioned Sullivan from Pitt. Not sure I like that either.
