That said, I WILL say I give them a better chance than they've had in decades. Washington had an insane amount of firepower, but ultimately what got them over the top is a top defensive coach and system. I've always felt like that's a recipe for success. A team defensive game with some offense that will score anyway. It's also how LA won their cups (Chicago wasn't as defensive as system).

Berube is definitely what was needed.

But even so, 32 teams, even the favourites are at like 15% chance. At least their hat is it in the ring.

This whole team is clicking though. Defense is tight. Depth is scoring too. Goalies playing well.

Not to be a downer, but my cup fave is the rangers this year. Stacked at every position, and play a smart strong game.
