Ok, let me put it this way, I’m excited about six picks in the first two rounds of the 2025 draft, I’m excited about Michkov, I’m excited about Luchanko going back to junior and watching him develop, I’m excited about watching Bergland, Gill, Bonk & Bjarnason devopling. I’m excited about the recent changes and new direction.

I’m not excited about Torts, he’s such a cancer, but he’s good for losing.

- Dave21Brown

You were probably excited about JOB, German, Allison, Myers, Haag, and the like.

All those prospects you mention are nothing special. None who project to be top end.

I just understand building a championship team is an inexact science. All it takes is one kid to make a difference and be a good player. I didn't think Giroux was a top end player either, but he was. Same with Carter and Richards. Just keep drafting and see where it takes you.

😂 forgot he was the Carlson plan guy. Another great call by shooter
- ClaudeFather

What Call? I mentioned I thought they were managing his load. I cant say for sure what they are doing because I am not them, Im not in the room. I can only speculate.

I dont know what they are doing with Luchenko. At this point my best guess is that they are going to send him back. I just have no idea what they are waiting on.

Where did he state that sitting Luchanko helps the Flyers PR? He didn't. The question for you is how does this reconcile with your previous claim that the Flyers had a plan and were only going to sit him in one game of a back to back?
- MJL

Uhhhhhhhhh

"All this time in the press box helps nobody except the Flyers PR dept who can keep saying how great it is that the Flyers have the youngest player in the league on their roster"

Clearly states the time in the press box helps Flyers PR.

The actual sitting in the press box is not what helps the PR department. It is keeping him on the team longer that does.

Don't you know that MJL has the biggest pulse on the Flyers? If they would read his posts on HB, they would be in a much better place.

You didn't speculate. You stated matter of factly that they were doing the same thing with Luchanko and there was no reason for anyone to be upset that he wasn't playing. That is obviously not correct. Now Tortorella is saying he doesn't want to throw an 18 year into a losing streak. Seems like this was not well thought out by the Flyers.

Unfortunately the Flyers plan isn't to just keep drafting.

Back from dinner and just heard that Kolosov is likely to get the start on Sunday against the Habs (via Frank Seravalli). I hope it's true! Fedotov sucks!!

The great one doesn't need to be in on the meetings...his knowledge (aka googling stats) is superior to all involved with the franchise. Too bad the 3 stooges take so much input from Torts since he manipulates everything they do. They should refer to the great one to set them straight

I thought they would give Fedotov one more start, but I don't care if they don't. It might be a back and forth between those two guys for the rest of the season cause there really are no other options.

How do you do it? Day in and day out, you are the most knowledgeable poster on here. You are without a shadow of a doubt the GOAT on HB. I thank you and commend you for your input. I can't wait till till tomorrow when you tell us you were rigth about Torts. #archaic

It only helps PR if he plays which he hasnt for the last 2 games and who knows if hes in tomorrow, Seravalli says that the Fyers were going to make a decision tonight. Dont know how much truth there is to that. He isnt as trustworth as someone like Friedman. I cant see him sticking with the team if he sits a 3rd straight game.

I dont really trust Seravalli. He does have some inside info but he has a history of being wrong. This might be one of the instances where hes right but hard to trust him.

The posters premise, not mine is that the PR department is helped by being able to say they have such a young player on the roster. Personally, I don't know that I see it as some significant PR gain. I agree, I think sitting him makes it senseless to keep him on the team.

Speaking of a train wreck and in need of a rebuild, the Pens get skunked by the Oilers 4-0 tonight and they were outshot 50-27. Yikes! Sully gets fired and ends up in Philly when Torts vacates the bench.
