Then send cozens and some shiddy d to Ottawa for Tkachuk. Add a first if necessary.

This team has teeny balls and no skill.

Will need incriminating pics or video of Ottawa’s new owner to get that deal done

Adams would never have the balls to do what it took to get a deal like that done

Giving up odd man rushes and leaving players in front of the net wide open is a staple of this adams built defense

UPL finishes tonight -2.69 GSAx in Evolving Hockey's model. He made some nice saves tonight, but that 4th and 5th goal were pretty blah.

Fwiw they weren't tying that game. Florida was giving them nothing.

https://x.com/CMDeDominic...Hu1YihL56NXzltDctjhg&s=19

they had 2 awesome chances on that power play. Florida locked that game down at 5v5 but I would’ve liked to see them get to a 6v5 down 1. I mean unlikely to win it but they did seem to be moving the puck around up a man tonight. For once

They are really bad in there own end! Especially against good cycle Teams. The Sabres are horrible in front of there Net and most times the Slot is wide open.

Decided to go tonight. Great tickets for 30 bucks and now I can cross Florida off the list of opposing teams ive seen

Sabres were a bit inconsistent with their effort but overall I thought it was solid. They just made too many big mistakes. Absolutely ridiculous inexcusable penalties by Krebs(who got bailed out by a dumb Florida player) and dahlin at the end then it fell apart. Upl needed to make some saves tonight, and he didn't.

Really felt like they were right there and had a chance to tie the game untill it unraveled

Cozens is definitely snakebitten and Quinn needs to sit again

NAK on the 2nd line is embarassing. They need a veteran top 6 forward and ffs after 6 years you'd think adams would do whatever it took to get dahlin a real partner

- ieetbred

This! I thought they played decent against prob the best team in hockey. Last year we would of got destroyed.

Same issues. Very weak. Cant win a puck battle. Need a Top6 and Top4. Just stupid stupid defensive mistakes.

Wish I knew the answer. Quinn and Cozens look like shells of their former selves. Cozens at least is producing shots. Quinn looks like he's skating in sand.

Yes, but it also doesn't excuse a poor effort from UPL last night.

The goaltending has been up and down so far this season, and it's not entirely to blame on the team defense.

UPL got a big contract. He needs to perform better.

Cozens can't buy one right now. When one goes in who knows but he had a few grade A chances last night.

One goes just wide and one catches bobrovsky stick. Hes definitely snakebitten but he also makes some bonehead decisions on a nightly basis

Quinn was trash again last night and should see the press box soon with efforts like that

I have confidence Quinn will be in the press box, pending Benson's availability.

What I heavily dislike about Cozens play is how often his decision making is soft, weak and indecisive.

Overall, the team cannot continue to ignore the physical aspect of the game and expect to go far.

Too many stick checks and plays on the puck instead of taking the body.

I dk, Cozens isn't getting into the right areas some games, last night being an exception. Quinn, can't help but agree. He's not snakebitten, he's lacking effort.

I am a little worried he will be our Holtz from Lindy in NJ.

The story of UPL's career has been inconsistency.

He finally had a season where he had a long stretch of consistency, and he was paid big time for it.

Another potential mistake.

Could be, think most wanted to see another solid year out of him before a longer term contract was given.

This. It was a freaking dumb move.
Should have let it go to Arb for the 1 yr deal as a "show me" contract.
But Adams with a piss poor decision to sign him, IMO of course.
Didn't care about the monetary value of that contract in Arb, it was all about a 1 year term so they could see more than 6 months to make a longer term commitment for pretty good money.

These decisions make me really wonder about Karmonos and Ventura big brains as well.

This is my main problem with UPL... he will make some great saves to keep us in it but then moments later a softy gets through

Yeah, Adams needs for a few more of these Long-term Contracts to start helping. Gonna be a anchor if they don't.

Well let's see how that Analytical Department runs under Ruff. Seems he uses it a bit more than Granato ever wanted to.

I still can't figure out how anyone could be comfortable with adams making more long term impact decisions for this franchise

Literally anyone can rebuild a bottom 6. He did it two years late and now adams talking about the unused cap space like its spent already is terrifying
