Marc Savard is not going to improve anything if this is what we see. I mean you have 30 seconds of 5 on 3 and you spend half the time passing the puck and the other half telegraphing the exact same play?

Not impressed at all. Entries are poor and unsupported. I don't know. There's no excuse for how slow they are with the puck and how poorly they execute.

If you're going to routinely do illogical things, it doesn't matter how long you've been here.

No one on the team has taken less defensive zone faceoffs than David Kampf so far this year. Matthews, Tavares, Domi... All more regular d-zone starts than Kampf. That kind of stuff is stupid at any point in your tenure.

Kampf's line is basically leading the team in Neutral Zone starts - but the Matthews line is leading the team in D-Zone starts.

Who do you trust more to get possession and skate the puck out of trouble and get it into a good position? Your best players or your worst?

The 4th line is a hybrid of checking line and "identity" line. Most of their purpose is to come out even and wear the other team down a little.

I mean Tavares, Domi and Nylander also rarely start in the D-Zone - which makes sense. They don't do a good job of regaining possession when they've lost it.

I'm open to change and I'm open to seeing if guys fit into a different system and if they are going to perform better in this system. So far a lot of them seem to be struggling with it, but I think this particular _it_ is what they need to learn if they're going to ever be winners - or take the next step towards it at a minimum.
