Calm poised and anticipating plays. Just been a while since we saw that from Hawks Dmen. - bhawks2241
On top of all that he already looks like the big kid on the ice, i wonder when he hits his 20s were looking at a 220 to 235 pound dman who can fly. |

Assuming the new cap comes in around the $92M number next year the Hawks will have 15 players signed (so 8 needed for a full roster) and about $34M to play with. not to mention, some of those spots will surely be taken by a few of the kids on tiny deals.
UFA's Martinez, Hall, AA, Donato, Maroon, Smith,
Main RFA's - Kaiser, Kurashev - Chunk
Out of those 5 ufas I think Donato is resigned back. I watched the hogs game Friday night lots compete and puck pursuit but what is lacking is physicality and size. Imo Levi and kk need a full season in the rock. And if Hawks are looking into acquiring a young center, as rumors have suggested. Morgan frost Kent Johnson Dylan cozens and even though he not as young as the centers named a Ross Colton. I would stay away from zegras. Chytil and Norris could be other players to consider due to both rangers and senators being in cap crunch with key players to be resigned.

The Chytil one is interesting. Hopefully they could keep him healthier.
Always liked Norris. Another player with health issues but the Hawks have a good shoulder guy and his money for what he does is probably about par. |

And the fun thing is we got Rinzel in Minny playing well, i think he was the big ten star of the week, another big RDman who can skate and finding his offensive game in college. |

You left out one thing missing…ability to put the puck in the net. - LFS
We have some prospects who look like they are goal scorers while some other prospects rs look promising but not yet showing they are definitely future NHL goal scorers.........of course talking about their ceiling.
Moore is very interesting to watch how his offensive production increases this season and therefore does he show the capability to be a goal scorer or just a dangerous good offensive producer but not necessarily a top line L1 NHL
Mr Richochet suggested that Greene could become a L4 center. Greene actually looks like he has enough ability to become something better than that; i suggest a two way L3 center. But he is only around 180 pounds so he may need to add some strength or some bulk to his frame. He has five points in five games in Hockey East this season and his team lost that very good dman who turned pro now playing on Montreal |

I know weight inflation is a thing, but the Terrier website has Greene listed at 6’1 195. |

Continuing to be patient with the rebuilding 'Hawks and continuing to be patient while the new network negotiates with Comcast.*
*we are within a couple weeks of forgoing Comcast and going to internet only, and this will be the final reason for doing so. We are old, but it sure seems this change is being forced on us. |

So Buffalo is looking to add a physical defense defensive man to clear the front of net and pair with power Murphy fits that description. Not sure I trade Murphy unless the trade makes sense physical Murphy has a modified trade clause. And Buffalo is also looking for veteran forwards hall Donato Maroon Smith. It's seems the pressure is on Adam's to make the playoffs so there could be a match between the Hawks and sabers. It also seems that Dylan cozens is falling out of favor with the organization as of now that could change if his game gets back on track. So Murphy hall for cozens it's possible would solve the second line center position or put cozens on wing and have nazar at center. But I'm sure Buffalo isn't the only team looking to upgrade. And seeing Hawks most likely will be picking in the top ten again it might make sense to make some trades to help now and for the future. |

BM posted this last blog. An old school page laid out like our sports section was. Absolutely love this, thanks BM. https://www.hockeydb.com/scoreboard/ - Mr Ricochet
One thing I found (works for NHL games only) is that you could call up the box score and game stats by clicking on the recent game score. |

A lot of is in your post. Potential means nothing till they prove it in the nhl. Heck, look at bedard, 3 goals in 11 games? I think we expected more in his second year. |

What am I missing??
It's 9am, still haven't had my cigarette and coffee yet, but I remember watching the Flyers/Blues highlights from 2 days ago, and specifically remember Michkov playing?
Or do they mean healthy scratch for today's Flyers game?
Just checked the box score to make sure I didn't mix up games, he played 13min against the blues.
Just read it again and can't figure out if I'm losing it or they are? - captainserious
As I read your post I thought I watched a period of that game and saw him too. Love watching Michkov and usually give the Flyers at least a period. ....... I gotta look into this to see if the writer got the games mixed up.

The Hawks should probably trade him now along with Bustard.
As long as we're telling people to quit things, maybe dispense with some of the way too early hot takes. - HawkintheD
Those are your observations on lev and bedard, not mine. I just asked a question, didnt know that is forbidden here. |

I know it's a weird statement but i meant bored in a good way. He was so quick to break up anything and everything. He gets to his spots so quick and it doesn't look like he's using much energy doing it. Now i know what the coach meant about his skating ability. For now it looks like he's thinking about what he's being coached and how to play his position right now like KK did last year in the beginning of the season. Btw KK looked really good last night. - BetweenTheDots
Dots, I hope your wrong. #2 overall pick 2nd pro game and he's bored??? ..... But you know what I can see how it at least looked that way a couple sequences but would add he's not a high work rate kinda guy in generally. Sometimes that kinda player looks unengaged at best, lazy at worst.
I saw a couple unengaged plays defending his crease, unless I missed it he never jumped in as a 4th forward as he did very often at MSU. Unhurried tying to exit the zone thru a 25 ft pass off the wall to the skates of a forward that was clearlymarked.
A couple nifty 7 footers to a forward to start an out. And yea man, big kid who really has a gear when he wants to go. ....... Really early to say anything close to definitive but to me the sky is the limit but he's raw.

One of the first windows I opened this morning. Love the one page look of standings, results, boxes and transactions of 6-7-8 leagues I have interest in. And for sure the clickable box score and then clickable names is really helpful ....... Helluva find, BM.

Comment all you want but when you make proclamations based of your observations you’re going to get a lot of push back. Especially when the proclamations are about 19 and 20 year olds 11 games into the season. |

Concerning that Indy has started out 1-4-0 and has only scored 2 goals in 5 games. Organizational depth seems to be lacking.
Going to a Blackhawk watch party at 2 in Elk Grove Village. They can't get the app out soon enough. I'm a disgruntled Comcast/Xfinity subscriber. |

You did i saw several times being the 4th forward in fact on one play i don't know if it was a line change but he was in front of the goalie beating everyone down low but the forward couldn't make the pass.
