you think they'll keep the coach?

I doubt they'd fire him this year, it isn't like they were a playoff-bound team to begin with, but I'm expecting they're gonna have a talk with him and discuss what kind of approach needs to be taken moving forward.

and there's always the question of who you'd hire to replace him, personally I'd rather keep Pascal Vincent in Laval since he's been doing a great job there.

everyone knew they were not a playoffs team. but not showing up? not progressing? not putting in the effort?
what kind of culture is that? you want your kids to learn in that environment?
they have to think what's best for the team, not for the coach.

They are all buddies, so I think they will.

The problem is that some guys need to leave right now, but it can't really happen.

Dvorak, Armia...

I have nothing against Jake Evans, but you can't play him as a 2nd line center. Just use Dach there and live or die with him. I don't have expectations for him until after Christmas, because of the time he missed. If you think he's your guy going forward, why is he playing wing?

They also need a 4th line worthy of that name. They are soft as poop. They need poop disturbers up front. Guys who will forecheck using their shoulders, not the tip of their sticks (code).

The captain should lead by example, and he's not right now.

So many things going badly this year, it started with an horrible training camp.

Lone bright spots are Gallagher who looks like the Gallagher of old, and Lane Hutson, but I'm afraid he will be completely burned out by January.

oh absolutely, but as much as you dislike MSL I doubt all of the team's current struggles are due to poor coaching...

I would like to see the players be more aggressive as well in the way they approach a hockey game and respond to adversity but again, with a lack of experience often comes a certain fragility with a team's confidence in general, I don't think there are that many lazy passengers in this lineup.

pretty fair assesment.
I would add that Dvorak and Armia while they should be gone, are not the problem. this team lacks character and leadership. big time. that is not on Dvorak and Armia.
I won't talk about the coach, pretty sure everyone knows my opinion lol

My problem with Armia and Dvorak is that they are completely useless and only fill jerseys right now.

yeah, I really wish Dach could return to how he was playing before his injury, ASAP, he looked like a more confident player... fans are getting impatient, which is understandable, but with all that time being out of the game it's gotta be hard to get back into it at the same level.

not acknowledging an error is an even worse error. the guy is drowning before our eyes.
either you give him help (we've been saying this since day 1 btw), either you replace him. keep him as player development and PP coach if you want, but the current situation can not last a full season.

yup, but I really doubt he has complete immunity from being fired, as some claim. I don't think MSL has lost the room yet but if that happens you can't keep a guy there just because he's the one you hired initially.

Bob Gainey: hiring Carbonneau as coach was my best move ever as GM.

Bob Gainey, a week later: yeah, we had to move on...
