Shisterken gross annual salary $11.5 mil after tax $5.1

Ottenger annual AAV $8,25 mil after tax $5.2 mil.
- LAHawk

Pro athletes pay state taxes in the state they play in on a monthly basis. So if the Panthers play one game in Chicago in January, the player pays taxes on 1/82 of his annual salary to Illinois for that month. Yes, no state tax on 41 games played in FL, but as you can see, it’s a bit complicated to figure out taxes paid by a pro athlete on an annual basis.

- Angotti

California if you are deemed a resident, and number of days is just one determining factor, you pay Ca. Tax on your entire income, less state taxes you paid in other states you take as a credit.

Maybe he meant Victor Ejdzell

I’m seriously interested, neither of you provided links or proof for your posts. Where did you come up with your figures, which are pretty specific?

Hahaha weren’t there a few posters that fed him bogus rumors on purpose?

Was it MexicoHawk that pretended to be some ex NHL player? Feels like a decade ago.

Yeah, that makes sense, I kind of remember reading about the credits, there’s certainly some complexity to the process, that’s why the all have accountants, even players on minimum contracts.

Federal income tax rate on >$578K is 37%
NY state income tax on $5M-$25M is 10.3%

I guess you'd then subtract the agent fee and something for escrow? I'm far out of my league now.

Well, Bob's only got another year left on his contract in FLA, so FLA can trade for Igor once he's done since NYR are going to be rebuilding again at that point.

I will say the rumors did serve as a wonderful distraction at work for several years while JJ was running the ship.

Appreciate the gents (or ladies) that contributed to the fake rumor mill

So you're not going to show your work? We just have to take your opinion on this?

So you're saying NY charges 20% tax?

I also don't think the agents cut is taxed either

One of the reasons Ohtani’s contract was structured the way it was. He gets most of his money long after he reitires and is out of California.

The funny thing is bans were handed out with less frequency until Eli was deputized and banned anyone who looked sideways at good ole' JJ.

If he becomes a Japanese resident above $310k income his tax rate is 45% + 2.1% surcharge + 10% resident tax everyone pays. He'll probably retire to Florida.

Lotta darts. And they missed on quite a few. That's just kind of the nature of the beast.

And for everyone who gets hard over Buffalo's prospect system their two best forwards were acquired in trades. Tuck, Thompson and Jason freakin Zucker lol.

But just be patient guys Kyle knows more than everyone else and we need to wait 5 years to figure out what is actually there and burn more Bedard years.

Or Tennessee, or Washington state. Also Wyoming, Texas, New Hampshire and Nevada do not have income tax.

I typed that before I looked at the stats and saw that Zucker was outscoring all of the other precious Buffalo prospects that just needed to marinate.

Agents commission has nothing to do with W-2 income.

Federal tax is 37% if your AGI (married is $$731,000.

You can look up New York State tax rates

Show me your calculations that I am wrong.
