Ummmm, you would be incorrect in that assumption.
Just ask Doug Collins about whose name is on the six trophies the Bulls won with Michael Jordan.....
KFC is not on the hot seat for his draft picks, but for his Sega '94 NHL view of assembling a pro roster. He spent a lot of money this offseason, and the results have been worse than last year's team.
He is no longer the shiny new penny in the room. - dahawks8819
Doug Collins was the coach not the GM.

Donato says he wants security with his next contract, I don’t think he will sign an extension by the TDL, so might as well get that third round draft choices. Think KD would offer him 3 x $2:5 ? - LAHawk
Perhaps the new VP can get him a contract that makes sense |

So does the GM for not expunging him from the team. He got rid of everyone else. - LAHawk
Right let's deflect the focus on the poor play Seth Jones is showing us. |

This board is a real peach sometimes. Those who spoke out about Luke Richardson and his coaching shortcomings were ridiculed. Then he was fired because he wasn’t doing a good job.
I posted a month plus ago the Hawks needed to dump/bench vets and put more youth in the lineup. That the current status made no sense playing a bunch of washed up vets.
I was ridiculed with some saying there wasn’t any youth, that my criticism was unfounded. Now we have a bunch of kids in the lineup. Are the Hawks winning more games? Eh but it’s much more enjoyable hockey. |

I understand the Blackhawks are developing Arty in Rockford, but it's hard to imagine he'd be anymore of a waste of space on the ice than TJ Brodie.

Except for the fact that Seth has graded out as one of the best players on the ice the last three games. He's definitely stepped up his game since the Calgary game. Not saying he's a savior by any means, but he's nowhere near the issue he was earlier. |

You'll see EDM, or KK up before Lev. He needs to get more comfortable with the step up in competition still. He flashes the talent often, which is enough to get by down there, but he needs the Vlasic treatment. |

Hahaha, i know cause he's being involved in the scoring the data skews it heavily in favor of those players. |

Sure he’d be better than Brodie, however he just turned 19 a couple of months ago. Let him percolate a bit longer down at the Rock so he’s not overwhelmed when he finally comes up. That’s the reason that Brodie and Martinez were signed, to give KK and Artie more time at Rockford, unfortunately Father Time has caught up with both of them, although Martinez is still serviceable. |

It's not just that he is involved in scoring, he has been making plays all over the ice. A lot more like he was before the injury.
Defensively, he has been breaking up plays, blocking shots and been pretty solid in general.
On the offensive side he is one of the few Hawks that consistently gets pucks on net and it creates chances. We've seen him use his skating and join the attack and make some good setup passes.
He was playing really well before he was injured, he struggled off and on since returning, but he has been really good since he had that bad game vs Calgary. He said he needed to play better and he has shown it.
He may not be a 9.5 million dollar dman and he may or may not be a long term part of the Hawks plans in the rebuild (who knows what KD will do) but he has stepped up his game after struggling, I think he deserves credit for that. |

I think your assumption is off the mark. Bert and TT have been exactly what they are as players. Martinez and Maroon are placeholders and nothing more. Brodie was and is the only terrible signing.
There is a plan and it would be a terrible decision to launch a GM 2 years after a complete tear down. I give Danny more credit for being smarter than that.
If he wants to be a perpetual rebuild, firing KD now is a good way to accomplish that goal.
He hasn't committed long term bloated contracts to anybody. I disagreed with giving Richardinson his contract but it has a year left and he will be replaced. |

Gotta think long term, Dots. There are already players on the NHL roster that make sense to play over Brodie.
I think Crevier's progress has caught them a bit by surprise.
Allan and Kaiser should be out there every night. Both have shown enough flashes to be encouraged. |

Guess its okay to give Jones a pass on his half-assed effort on that SH breakaway, huh?
Yeah yeah, Bedard made a poor decision but there was still enough time for Jones to get his ass back to at least do more than feebly wave his stick as he was gliding trying to catch a guy pumping his legs. |

Crevier has caught me by surprise, tbh I didn’t think he could play at this level, he’s definitely proven me wrong. He’s skating, passing, and physicality have all improved, he’s knocking guys off the puck. Vlasic is a stud, however I’d like to see him be a bit more physical. |

Its like he figured out I am much bigger than these guys and knocks them off the puck instead of waving his stick around like Jones.
Not sure where I saw the tweet but Crevier is putting up metrics very similar to those of Vlasic from last season.
In a much smaller sample size to date. Still encouraging. Interesting that he and Vlasic are the first pair over the boards on the PK.
The Hawks need to stop playing scared once they get a lead. How many freaking time can the D-men win the puck only to have forwards just clear the zone instead of making a blessed play with the puck?
Start playing defense at their blue line instead of yours. that is Carolina what does. |

Career year goal scoring wise, but he is good for 12-15 while playing a bottom 6 role. Richardinson was given 2 x $4.2 for his career year last year, now he is back on his pace of 10-12 goals and max 30 points. |

Re-watch the replay. He never stops moving his feet. He had to turn and take an angle where Jarvis was going straight line. That play was 100% on Bedard. Bedard was brutal in this game with his decision making.
No, he's not worth his contract, but he's back to being a good defender/player. |
