Okay, we can forget about a trade now. Eklund just posted an article about the possibility of a trade.

This is from LBR at second city. This for the most part encapsulates my feelings about the rebuild.

I think it's easier to see other rebuilds as being better because if you're not a fan of the team it doesn't weigh on you.

It is obvious the rebuild is weighting on you and others.

For me, it's more the disconnect with the stated goals/purpose. KD wants to play fast, relentless hockey, and he signs a bunch of slow players.

They want the kids to establish their own culture and leadership, but most of them defer to the vets.

"Last place is not acceptable", etc.

I haven’t been a fan since day 1. Doesn’t weigh on me at all. I am critical of KD just like fans being critical of Bowman because they didn’t like his moves.

Stop it. The Hawks are the only ones who sign bad contracts.
- Chunk

Of course...and KFC should be launched into the sun for not having already traded Jones and acquiring 6-9 players that would have them in Cup contention this year cause the rebuild is going way too slow. This is like what, the 7th year already?

No, clearly. It's only why you're on here every day female doging about pretty much every move KFC has made short of the Bedard pick.

You know, it's funny. Someone connected to this organization has told me the EXACT same thing a few times, both in preseason, and just a few weeks ago.

The statement about wanting the veterans to be teaching the young players the right way to be a pro, then watching Seth Jones pouting for not wanting to be on a rebuilding team, and not being anointed the "C" as a role model, is just mind boggling.

And paying for all of these veterans, to increase the competitive level and move forward in the standings, only to see them actually take a step back, and attendance now falling, yeah, those things don't get a G.M. fired.

And that comment I made yesterday, about not building an NHL roster with the '94 Sega mentality, that was not me saying it, but totally agreeing with it when it was said.

Right now, there is a complete disconnect in this front office, and the ownership is starting to get impatient. They know there are pieces coming in the next few years, but there is not a high level of confidence in KFC figuring out how to fit the pieces to actually make a contending team that keeps the marble barn full on a nightly basis.

And for anyone on this site that doesn't want to laugh at this, KFC coming down to the locker room after the Winter Classic, the general consensus was it fell on deaf ears. He doesn't have the command of an accomplished General Manager that a move like that would make a difference.

And it's starting to show that he doesn't seem to understand his place in all of this.

Maybe maybe not but maybe you could see where your post would sound like a lot of conjecture BS to most.

I listened to some audio yesterday from some guy who was supposedly an insider (like he knew Be Johnson or knew someone who really knew Ben Johnson) on where Ben Johnson was going and it was never ever going to be the Bears. Funny how that worked out.

His narrative is consistently KD is on the hot seat. A few others have run with it but when it comes to logic, the only thing he has to go on is a lousy record. As if that wasn't going to happen again this year. We all knew it would. Two Forward signings added to what was already in place, ok three if you count Marroon does not an offense make.

Ok, you, like so many other people on this site is not getting.....

His seat has greatly warmed because of the increased amount of empty seats in the United Center.

Danny Wirtz is willing to be patient for this rebuild to begin to show improvements, but he is not willing for this team to fall back into the obscurity they showed in the mid to late 90s, into the mid 2000s.

And whether the people here want to acknowledge it or not, that is where KFC is now.

Don't think Danny is worried about a difference of about 1% from last year to this year in attendance, besides he (frank)ed up the tv deal so bad he went into hiding. I'm sure he'll let KD deal with the team so he doesn't (frank) it up anymore than it is.

That's fantastic you sharing your opinion on this site. It must be the truth, because..... it came from your special amazing mind......

It's not just about ticket sales. It's parking, it's concessions, it's the whole thing. He does not want this to become like it was in the 1990s - with only 3,000-4,000 a night showing up. And there is concern that's it's heading back to those dark days.

As for the tv deal, it's currently in limbo because of one person, and unlike the past, it's not anyone named Wirtz. It's coming from one owner that owns two of the teams in this deal, who could care less about what any fan thinks of him and his teams. I'll give you one guess at his name......

You know paulr, I thought I would give this site one more chance, and share what I learn about what is going on with this team.

But something has occurred to me, people like you and most of the other people left posting here prefer their own opinions and assumptions over anyone else's facts.

You and so many other internet trolls like you have chased so many people away from this site, posters and bloggers alike.

You wonder why there is no other blogger picking up this page?? It's because they prefer not to have to babysit morons like you. It's only a matter of time before it shuts down permanently.

This site has an abysmal reputation. Congratulations!!!!!! Jackasses like you have made it what it is.

Bloggers generally want to get paid going rate for what they write, they don't babysit . You should go back to the common area of HFboards that spawned you. Another one that if this site had a block function, you would be quickly forgotten.

Dannys got bigger plans, he's investing a ton of money to develop the area around 1901 w Madison. Buying up parking lots and more. If this is his vision he obviously understands they can't do it over night, i imagine he uses that same knowledge on rebuilding the Blackhawks.

Hawks have supposedly scouted three recent Colorado games and a couple of their AHL affiliate games. Maybe looking at their young forward Ivan Ivan?

Well I've got 1 of my 3 wishes, he's off the 1st unit pk, now Anders just needs to boot him off the 1st unit PP and limit him to 20 minutes a night.

You still livid about that Brodie contract?

You want to be more competitive now! How did that work trying to plug holes when Toews and Kane throw in Keith and Seabrook were still here? It didn't. Sooner or later you have to rebuild. You hope KD does a better job than Buffalo.

Avs cupboard is as bare as it comes especially in AHL where they have literally nothing of interest. There's even a guy in his mid 30's I used to play against in high school on the roster lol. It's that bad.
Some nice young junior players though - Ritchie and Curran would be tremendous pickups but if I was a bettering man, I'd say they're looking at Zellers who's playing for GB Gamblers this season and committed to Univ North Dakota next season.
Avs are likely in on bottom 6 vets like Smith or Donato and vet d-men like Murphy or Martinez. Sorry guys, we're stuck with Brodie and you know it
