Welcome back. I would say there was about a 50-50 split among us regarding drafting Levshunov or Demidov. I was in the Levshunov camp. We'll have to wait to see if Davidson & company made the right selection. - boilermaker100
Thanks Boiler .Ya they both had great reports on them. I was more in Demidov corner ,but a big talented Rh D man is hard to say no to . I really liked Lindstrom but the back issues were a real red flag . So as per Lindstrom I have my heart set on a big aggressive forward who can score .I like Martone if he available. Let the debate begin . Missed this place, sorry to here its fallen on hard times ,it really is a unique place to come and get info and sarcasm GO HAWKS !! |

The blogger we drove off happened a while ago. It wasn’t Zach, he was good and put in allot of effort and didn’t pretend he knew more than he did. - paulr
Lol ya I got it. Assume that’s JJ. Unless it predates my lurking days. Did his rink.com cite survive? Went to it a few times. Was always a ghost town. |

Won’t lie fell for his stuff for a while but after you pay attention for a few months and read every blog that’s posted things started to make sense lol. - bhawks2241
Same. The thing I never quite got was the fealty some paid to him. If you read the way he responded to posters who respectfully disagreed with him, not me of course, it was pretty easy to see there were some issues.
I enjoyed the time he PM'd me to tell me I was but a spec in the microcosm of time (paraphrasing) and how his greatness was measured in the number of "page views" being tabulated on the site. Sure sounds like a good guy. |

It was. A few of us figured out he was making up trade rumours so we told him we knew “Bob” we never gave him the last name. He assumed it was McKenzie. Then we put together all kinds of crazy trade rumours and sure enough JJ posted them within minutes of receiving them. Then we let everyone know what we did and JJ left. - paulr
What? Really? How did I just find out about this?
Donno why you think he was b.s.ing with rumors. If you guys told him you have "inside info" and he posted it,how would that equal ''making up trades'' |

Blackhawks have called up Ethan Del Mastro from Rockford. That’s his first call-up this season and second of his career.
Craig Smith goes on IR.
Not sure why they are calling him up,especially if Allan has been sitting for a few. Could have just let Allan play. |

I guess the team also just signed AJ Spellacy to his ELC as well. |

Maybe three way trade coming Jones to Vancouver Miller to Chicago then Chicago retains on Miller flies to Carolina for pucks and players. Far Fetch yes but possible. As far as del mastro coming up maybe waiving brodie to go to rockford. |

It began when he’d post a blog about how the Hawks needed (for example) a big physical defenseman. Then the next blog he had a rumour that the Hawks were going to trade for …. Some big physical defenseman. This was going on and no with no trades. So we concocted bullpoop trades that made no sense but he ran with them. The best of the bunch was Kane to Buffalo if Buffalo won the draft lottery in McDavid’s draft, and as usual he posted it, within minutes.
Do you believe me if I told you I was Bobby Orr? Probably not, you’d certainly want confirmation. JJ didn’t ask for proof of who we were, he was so set on his page views and clicks he willingly gave up any integrity to post the nonsense we provided. |

I mentioned EDM in a Rockford post a few pages back. He's been really steady back there the last month or so. Quick clean passes out of zone, and a monster near his crease. He also has created a lot of chances with sneaky passes from the offensive blue line. I'm guessing since they brought him up, he'll get in.
Maybe they send Kaiser or Allan back down? Crevier seems to be a favorite of Anders and Allan Kaiser have both had their struggles recently. |

Last season I figured Crevier would never make the Hawk lineup. Other than being huge he seemingly had little to offer an NHL club. His skating was just OK. He handled the puck like a grenade. He shied away from physical play. This season he has really come into his own. His skating is decent, he moves the puck quite well. But his positioning and physical play have come from nowhere. Soderblom is another guy who was written off by pretty much all of us, now look at him.
Goes to show us why we need to be more patient in this rebuild with guys like Reichel, Korchinski and others. Sometimes it takes guys a little longer to “get it”.

Hasn’t EDM been playing RD with KK lately or was that just one game? |

Kakko: 4G 9A 13 pts in 15 games since being acquired playing 3.5 minutes per game more than in NYR.
I'm just sayin...

It's been kind of hard to follow. They played KK on the right side a few times. EDM has been his partner for a decent stretch and he's manned the right as well. I normally try to watch single players during each shift (often with the sound off). 38 is virtually always in a good position, and makes solid plays.
The forwards are generally kinda squirrely, and that can detract from other guys play, but he's just consistent. The one thing that could trip him up at the NHL level is the speed at which opponents get on him. That said, it seems like he stapled a 40 lbs kettlebell to his ass as he doesn't budge when guys try to get in front of the goalie.
They lost last night 5-4 in OT, but there were some interesting developments. Marcel actually played a good noticeable game. He hasn't really used his size all that well, but this game he did and scored.
Savoie was the story in this game to me. He was everywhere and creating the whole time.
Slaggert with a really nice Bertuzzi imitation (on a pass from Athanasiou). |
