Kakko: 4G 9A 13 pts in 15 games since being acquired playing 3.5 minutes per game more than in NYR.

I'm just sayin...

I wondered who is linemates were, so I looked at a recent game and saw he was with Jaden Schwartz and Matty Beniers. Who would his linemates have been here?

Bedard and Bertuzzi.

Edit: That's kind of the point with him. He was buried in NY and not getting prime minutes. SEA put him in a good position and he's doing well and currently a plus player.

Mikheyev and D!ckinson, and he’d have three points

Blackhawks have called up Ethan Del Mastro from Rockford. That’s his first call-up this season and second of his career.

Craig Smith goes on IR.

Not sure why they are calling him up,especially if Allan has been sitting for a few. Could have just let Allan play.

Kaiser sent down. He's been pretty good in his own end, but kind of a disaster with the puck on his stick. He'll get more minutes and situations now.

Kaiser battles, however he’s been a bit indecisive when retrieving pucks in his own end the last couple of games, thus turning over the puck. I didn’t see that from him earlier in the year, maybe he’s overthinking things vs reacting.

Same. The thing I never quite got was the fealty some paid to him. If you read the way he responded to posters who respectfully disagreed with him, not me of course, it was pretty easy to see there were some issues.

I enjoyed the time he PM'd me to tell me I was but a spec in the microcosm of time (paraphrasing) and how his greatness was measured in the number of "page views" being tabulated on the site. Sure sounds like a good guy.

Last season I figured Crevier would never make the Hawk lineup. Other than being huge he seemingly had little to offer an NHL club. His skating was just OK. He handled the puck like a grenade. He shied away from physical play. This season he has really come into his own. His skating is decent, he moves the puck quite well. But his positioning and physical play have come from nowhere. Soderblom is another guy who was written off by pretty much all of us, now look at him.

Goes to show us why we need to be more patient in this rebuild with guys like Reichel, Korchinski and others. Sometimes it takes guys a little longer to “get it”.

- paulr

I will concede this point.. begrudgingly. Still wanted KK up this season though lol. But hell Crevier a year down in the AHL and an offseason then part of this year in the AHL big difference. Think if he continues to develop on the current trajectory to the point Crevier and Vlasic are one of our top 4 pairings and actually good. Can't be many top 4s in NHL history with two guys that size that can both skate.

He shows the flashes but his play has been up and down lately. Although getting stuck with Brodie isn't exactly fair....I think that might be some of the disaster with the puck in his own end. Not like you can throw it back over to Brodie.

Been flipping between Oilers/Canucks and Flames/Sabres. I know the Oilers are good, but the Canucks look brutal right now. Down 4-0.

Buffalo jut doesn’t have anything. Their big time D-men look almost disinterested, and their forwards look like ours about a month ago.

Four Blackhawk prospects nominated for Hobey Baker. Is Kureshev on his way out?
One is Boisvert, I think Green, Rinzel and Aiden Thompson.
Edit: I went on NCAA hockey webset and they listed 21 nominies. Green and Rinzel were not on the list. Bad info first time around.

Thanks Boiler .I like Martone if he available. Let the debate begin . Missed this place, sorry to here its fallen on hard times ,it really is a unique place to come and get info and sarcasm GO HAWKS !!
- oldduffman

I like everything boiler & duufbeer were talking bout!

But if I am Kyle from Chicago while his in Los Angeles and have secured the 3rd selection, I am starting to fell the Hawks may want Micheal Misa over Porter Matone.
I guess don't have to have a firm opinion until the first two 2025 draft picks are selected.

Ground, Chunk,
Rangers traded him because of his lack of foot speed with ability OVER agilty, but good coaching staffs do just what you said: the player match their lines to get strong shifts all over.

Serious Captain, We wonder alike, but not sure Nolan Allen being demoted is warranted, and may the call-up because they want to let everyone get some scouting footage of Ethan Del Mastro besides letting Nolan rest up for more on ice contact with his return.

...and KK is in Rockford, where should be, as he solves his defensive game and realizes that he is in some good ole competition with Artie Levshunov for the parent roster's #1 defense slot.
If the Blackhawks where to be a draft slot and best man available LD draftee Matthew Schaefer, KK would need to get mighty scrappy in his defensive game.

He might end up being the next Adam Boqvist bust, but all these eager beavers on our backline stable provides us plenty a surplus to banter about.

Since KK arrived, and was awkwardly placed on the parent club, i kept pretty much silent of negative criticisms of Korchinski, while Elbows was readily seeing how ragged the teenager looked attempting to defend at the pro level bright-eyed from the junior defenseman ranks.

Elbows knew he was emmerced over his head, and his play on defense was putrid (or in the developmental stage as we say to emphasive positivity).

The team what they had to do then and now.
Elbows usually after watching part of game came here and did what he had to do.

The KK kid has got skills, feet and upside.

His future is in his hands.

I would love to see it. He lacks quick burst. His shot is meh. His defense is plain bad.

Its not like he is setting the A on fire either.
To be clear. The Hawks did him a disservice bringing up last season. He was not ready. I don't and never expected him to set the league ablaze but I wanted to see something, a flash, anything to warrant him being picked 7OA and I never did.

His hands? He’s one of the best passers and stick handlers on the team. Korchinski’s problems are he’s very weak defensively and he’s very timid if not scared on the ice. But like Crevier or Soderblom who I didn’t think either would amount to much both have improved dramatically. I thought both should be launched to the andromeda galaxy and not I’m glad they weren’t. I think KK should get a chance to improve his weaknesses, don’t you?
