Rumored deal NYR put on the table for JT Miller is Chytil, Lindgren (UFA after this season) and a first. Surely, Vancouver has balked at that. Chytil is no prize imo. Jones for Miller would be choice

Funny and well played, but it's Chunk, not Chuck. Like the fat kid from the Goonies.
- Chunk

Yeah, I take my glasses off and in the dark I manage to never see the written typing, and never look back.
So you WERE CHUCKlast night!

Chuck was a FLASH comic side character who was Chester Runk, known by the nickname Chunk, is a scientist and ally to The Flash. He is also a close personal friend of Wally West. Runk grew up to become overweight, which increased as an adult when he accidentally opened a black hole inside his body. This makes him need to eat vast quantities every day to appease it.
Kinda like the VOID that the rival company, Marvel added to the SENTRY character about to appear in the new Marvel movie, Thinderbolts.

I guess last night my Vulcan side of logic refused to take the connection away from that Chunk...

That Canuck gift trade of Miller to Rangers for little was likenbed to today by Spector's Rumours to be a return the Hawks got for Kane where everyone was sure it would be more.

I think Mikller has control of were he is traded, as Kaner did.

Thus less return.

I gotta guess there are teams willing to give better farm prospects and other stuff to get Miller through the rest of his strong playing yrs.

I wasn't dissing KK for his hands, they are good.

And I disagree with Elbows on his balance and jump, and his strenght on improving pro offensive vision with his passes.

I will concede this point.. begrudgingly. Still wanted KK up this season though lol. But hell Crevier a year down in the AHL and an offseason then part of this year in the AHL big difference. Think if he continues to develop on the current trajectory to the point Crevier and Vlasic are one of our top 4 pairings and actually good. Can't be many top 4s in NHL history with two guys that size that can both skate.

They should be in front of the net on the PP.

Serious Captain, We wonder alike, but not sure Nolan Allen being demoted is warranted, and may the call-up because they want to let everyone get some scouting footage of Ethan Del Mastro besides letting Nolan rest up for more on ice contact with his return.

...and KK is in Rockford, where should be, as he solves his defensive game and realizes that he is in some good ole competition with Artie Levshunov for the parent roster's #1 defense slot.
If the Blackhawks where to be a draft slot and best man available LD draftee Matthew Schaefer, KK would need to get mighty scrappy in his defensive game.

He might end up being the next Adam Boqvist bust, but all these eager beavers on our backline stable provides us plenty a surplus to banter about.

Hey Wiz, I like KK is 6'-3" vs Bustqvist 5'-11".

I would love to see it. He lacks quick burst. His shot is meh. His defense is plain bad.

Its not like he is setting the A on fire either.
To be clear. The Hawks did him a disservice bringing up last season. He was not ready. I don't and never expected him to set the league ablaze but I wanted to see something, a flash, anything to warrant him being picked 7OA and I never did.

With Nazar and Dach up, they don't have a ton of offense down there for KK to set up.

JJ told me a couple times that Eli was going to ban me but he, JJ, stood up for me because I knew Bob.

Told you JJ was a good guy. My longest was 3 months. Didn't realize Bows was 3 yrs. I know Unnamed Source got a 3 year ban.

Allan and Del Mastro paired up, Brodie sits tonight. No matter the results, it should make the game more watchable.

Did the Malkin rumour come from Bob? There were so many I can’t remember them all?

The most hilarious thing was the rumours got more and more ridiculous and numerous by the day and JJ posted them all.

Any of these rumors ring a bell involving Drouin from TB, Bickell to Toronto, Boedeker from Arizona, Chiarot from WPG? From Feb 2016.

If you got time read through all the comments. JJ mentions all the sources he had, Mexico Hawk chiming in with his insider knowledge. Etc.

They did mention Danault as who Montreal was probably interested in. And someone else mentioned do the Habs want to deal Fleischman or Wiese or I forget the third name. God what a disaster that trade was.

Listen I am not giving up on KK!

I just projected a Matt Schaefer draft reality were the new draftee is basically reltively similar and maybe in the long run the same or better and they probably both need to be paid.

I only brought up Boqvist becasue he was the alst first rd deeman they drafted and he failed. Sure would've been different the canucks passed on Hughes and he fell to the Blackhawks...I am fairly certain from conversations that their back-up if Quinn Hughes was off the board was centre Jesperi Kotkaniemi, so just a little uptick, but not very...
Everyone knew you would wait for Evan Bouchard becasue he wasn't going to be a plug & play defnseman in the defnsibe zone either, b ut it worked out eventaully.

Same with Noah Dobson who was really farther away to a pro job than Bouchard, but there was a 200 foot game.

I don't think any of the 3rd rounders that year played in the bigs except goalie Luke Dostel and Kurashev in the 4th Rd and he played...well, his parent clubs need help desperately.

Barney was pretty lenient with me after I brought him a couple six-packs of craft beer. I did get JJ fired up several times - he referred to me a few times as a clubhouse lawyer. Those were fun times....

So does Chairot. One that oddly was created by our very own PaulR and did come to fruition was the Hawks trading for Andrew Ladd in that '16 season.

Legit never understood why!!! Now I do. Good ole Bob.
