So Bertuzzi looks good when he tries or is actually in shape (maybe he comes into the season out of shape)
sweeping stick check on Kucherov and then get up and beat him down the ice to the puck is legit impressive. Draws the penalty. Why can’t he play that way all the time? |

One Finn in and one out as the 'canes sent Jesperi Kotkaniemi and his awful deal gone - wiz1901
Kotkaneemi wasn't included in the trade after all. Necas and Drury going to COL.

Well that was a "powerplay" worthy of some of the teams I have been on in the past |

I am sure we get a final trade details by the end of the game...OR EAELIER:
this is official:
In summary, based on multiple reports, the deal so far looks like this:
To Carolina: Mikko Rantanen, Taylor Hall
To Colorado: Martin Necas, Jack Drury, 2025 second-round pick, 2026 fourth-round pick
To Chicago: third-round pick (originally belonging to Chicago but coming back from Carolina) and retaining 50 percent of Rantanen's salary - wiz1901
I was hoping to bring Necas here. |

Well - one thing is he got really lucky with the toe of his stick - after wiping out ... there is that - and no one can play that lucky all of the time.

Yeah but he out hustled a pretty good player and beat him down the ice. More so that than the lucky last ditch effort stick sweep lol. |

That's too bad they got one there with less than 20 seconds left in the period. I really like how fast they are playing |
|
|
|
So all we get is a 3rd for Hall and retaining half of Ratys contract, common KD that's weak. |

Getting outshot,but overall playing well.
Soda looking good. I think I've seen enough outta him this season that I'd be comfortable with the Hocks trying to give him the #1 goalie spot next season |

Servalli tweeted this wasn't the biggest deal talked about the last 48hrs.
paul Bissomnette is wondering if that means Sid to Col ... That would be nuts |

Since Anders has taken over Soda is the best goalie on this team, it's not even close |

Yeh - just meaning 9 times of 10 (or aybe 99 of a hundred) that desperation doesn't work - but you are right - he made something happen afterwards - and that - that was pretty sweet.
Hating giving up those last 10 seconds of the period goals ... man there were a lot og grade A chances in the 2nd. Not a lot of SoGs, necessarily, but I think almost all of them were prime scoring chances.

And an open roster spot for a forward - and moving on someone who was not going to be re-signed. I dunno - does it matter? Yeh it would have been nice to have gotten more- maybe they would have had they not shipped Hall anywhere? |

This is when the vets are important. The reason they are on the team. Don’t let the kids get down bc of that late goal. Make the kids bring the same energy in period 3. Vets go out and set the example. |

Bedard line buzzing. Quick tape to tape passes. Skating.
Reichel Dach Foligno line buzzing too.
Rest been avg but that’s all you need with 2 lines humming |

Looked like an elbow on that Bedard hit. Some head contact. Pang to busy yapping to point it out. |

Ok setting aside all of the warm and fuzzies, 14 SoG is not going to usually even get 3 goals in a game. Gotta do better still - however, at least it was not boring (and some really crappy luck).

Keep giving up last minute goals, to bad they couldn't complete the game. Be nice if they could win a faceoff with 2 minutes left in a game, any game. |

He was the best goalie on the team most of this season already IMO. He gives them the best chance to win most of the time. |

So looks like we got a 3rd and Nils Juntorp, former 6th round pick out of Sweden in the deal.
https://www.eliteprospect...layer/399861/nils-juntorp - breadbag
Nah- he was a late round Chicago pick in 2022- so gave up on him (as if it mattered, which it wouldn't have much).
https://www.bleachernatio...hree-stars-key-takeaways/
Also- cuing up Richardie Dunn mode ... pointing the Chief's play by play guy to the scoreboard... er Tab about your write up ... since you made such a big deal about a PA gaff (which I didn't hear -but will give you the benefit of the doubt...).
"Star 2: Frank Nazar
Score your first goal of the season (second of your career), you’re the No. 2 star! Nazar added an assist on Crevier’s goal in the second period to give him his first career multi-point game. "
Fwiw the Hawks site has it as Nazar's 2nd of the season (and doing the math ... as I can managed 2 + 1) - the third of his career.
