Glad to see the boys put a good game together ,have not been able too see a lot of games this year , watch the last game against TB, and felt the team was playing with a different feel to it . Did not see any of the Minny game ,lucky me . Do like that the team has drafted large D men lately . Most still have to learn the game a a little more .Must give Davidson credit for that ,they come in handy in the playoffs . Bedard shot was amazing . Keep it ups kids. GO HAWKS !!! |

I am posting this Hagel quip b/c he deserve to fell different about going tp Lightning:
It feels like he’s been in the league for quite some time now, but Brandon Hagel is only 26 years old. That’s just one year older than Philipp Kurashev, three years older than Alex Vlasic and Louis Crevier. Hagel fit Kyle Davidson’s timeline. And Hagel fit Davidson’s “relentless” archetype. But Hagel didn’t fit the tank, and two first-round picks were too good to pass up.
Maybe Oliver Moore and Sacha Boisvert will someday make it easy for Blackhawks fans to stop thinking about Hagel, but Hagel hasn’t stopped thinking about the Blackhawks. |

Hagel is scoring a point a game there now. No way he would be doing that here. Yes, that trade was too good to pass up. But I say good for him for making the most out of the opportunity he was given. |

TBH, #4 had a good game as well, have to give credit when it’s due, but yeah Vlasic broke up a bunch of plays and Crevier had a decent game as well, I like his physicality. - Angotti
Jones hasn't had a bad game since that Calgary game. He said he needs to be better and he has been. Not perfect, but better.
Under Sorensen his stat line is
GP: 16 G: 3 P: 13 P/M -4
That is 0.81 points per game, good enough for 7th among NHL D in that span (min 10 games played)
I don't know if he will keep playing this way, but encouraging trend in his play and production. He has never been my favorite Dman but better to have him playing this way. He is increasing his value if they keep him or trade him.
I'll put it this way, in those 16 games under Sorensen, his 13 points is more than all other 9 Dmen we played combined. |

Entirely possible Hagel wanted out once the rebuild was clearly coming, even if he wasn't old, the Hawks going into the rebuild didn't want to retain players who want to be somewhere else. |

IMO Hawks played a fair bit better against Tampa tonight. They put more pressure on them and forced more turnovers of the puck. The PK looked better, they defended the dangerous areas around the net better. It was a good road game. |

Yea i agree, like bread said he's strung along a couple of nice games.
What's that now 7 points in 6 games? |

The Hawks effort was great last night. They were still outplayed but they showed up for three periods and Soderblom stood on his head. Let’s see if they can put together back to back strong efforts tomorrow. |

Since the Calgary game it's 8 points in 5 games. (would have been 6 games but he was sick) |

If I am a GM looking to add depth at the TDL I am looking at Martinez, D!ckinson and Donato. I probably would not give more than 3rd or 4th round picks. But they are good at hockey. |

Take a look at the 14:00 minute mark of the 3rd when they take the cheap shot on Bedard. Del Mastro comes in and puts two Lightning in a headlock at the same time. Well done. |

Soderblom was outstanding, what a turnaround from last season.
I’ve been watching EDM the last couple games, I have no idea where the report that his skating was bad came from? He looks fine to me, he moves reasonably well, he has decent edges and he’s strong on his skates. - paulr
Yeah, not sure either but overall think he's looked pretty good and seems to have some O to his game.
He got caught flatfooted a bit and fell down on a Lightning pass up the middle that turned into a breakaway, but...Soda. |

If you have access to the internet, you at least can get the WGN radio broadcast. You have to use your imagination to envision the play on ice like we all did in the old days when the home games were blacked out.
Edit - Yes, too bad in 2025 you have to resort to that. |

I have heaped abuse on Corey Pronman, who I have always seen as a wanna-be who writes what he hears, but I have to give him credit, as his new Mock Draft may be telling a real move away from Porter Martone placing him 5th overall, but (of course!) it is based on what he was told.
He has center Caleb Desnoyers as his #4, Misa #2, Schaefer #1, and Hagens at #3.
That just might be the wa6 it sahkes out no matter where the Balckhawks select, if they lose the lottery or their rise continues in the satndings. |

I meant the team record, 7 points in 6 games.
Jones has come on of late and its true we need someone to take the minutes away from Brodie first. As i said before Bread, Seth Jones would be better as a 20 minute a night defenseman, not being on the number 1 power play. I'm glad to see Crevier being the 1st unit PK with Vlasic, the 5 minute PK was a thing of beauty last night. |

Has Jones requested a trade, and has KD told him it would be easier to trade him if he starts playing better?
Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period has Jones #6 on his trade list, though he said a summertime trade is more likely.

Pronman has two guys at #2? That does sound like Pronman ![](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/lol.gif) he's as clueless about the draft and amateur hockey as Bamford. Always enjoyed Tony Ferrari's takes on the draft profiling and have followed you for years as well Bill. Thank you for what you do sir |

Donato is having a career year this year, and has a cheap cap hit. Unless the Hawks extend him, I don't see how he stays. |

We've come a long way since all we had to stand up to them was Murphy and he got bullied too because there was know one else. |
