In the OHL Clarke was a real stud defenseman, one if the best I saw during that time. I haven’t seen much of him in LA to comment on his play in the NHL. I find it hard to believe the Kings will give up on a 21 year old. But if they are KD will have to fully understand why the Kings giving up on him before he makes a move to acquire him. - paulr It's rumored kings one the clubs interested in Jones. So Jones 2 million retained ++ for Clark ++. Kings get a veteran d man who plays a loot minutes that would help doughty and wouldn't have to be the number 1 defenseman which I think suits Jones better. Hawks get a right handed young defenseman that's fits what the are rebuilding towards.

Yeah I'm sure the Kings are desperate to bring in an old overpaid d-man via trade for a young promising NHL d-man ![:?](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/confused.gif) FYI Kings are struggling with their offense and would be flipping Clarke for scoring and unfortunately our idiot GM didn't draft any scorers nor did he sign/trade for any scorers so we have zilch to offer the Kings. Next trade idea Scooter |

CAR usually gives the Hawks fits. Hoping to see the youth continue to factor into the scoring and build off the last game. - HawkintheD
This will be a good game for the kids to try to emulate Carolinas intermittent clutching and grabbing. |

Keep An Eye 👁️ On**
With the return of D Doughty to @LAKings lineup, D Clarke who leads the team in PTS by D appears to be a healthy scratch tonight. Perhaps Kings setting up a move with is ice time diminishing
The Kings can't seriously be thinking about moving Clarke can they?
If they are,Kyle should offer Levshunov or Korch and 2nd or even the Toronto 1st?
You could speed up the rebuild just a tad bit.
Not sure who is in goal tonight, but Soda looked good the other night,I'd give him another shot tonight as well. - captainserious
92 is great in the offensive zone but from the couple of games i saw of him, he gets treated like a rag doll in the defensive zone. They have him listed at 200lbs only issue is he plays like he's 175 lbs

I've only watched 3 or 4 of their games and he seemed pretty good for a 21 year old.
If what you are saying about his d zone perfomance is true than yikes! Probably better to stay away.

Just saw Ben Pope posted that Mrazek will be the starter tonight
I like Bedard with Nazar and Berr..just wondering how these last 30 games will unfold for them.
Will Nazar and Bedard sort of explode for a few streaks here and there? Trying to remember when Ders put them on a line together? |

Actually, our idiot GM has drafted quite a few scorers. Who did you want him to sign? |

Lazerus is reporting Dach in for Maroon and Soderblom starting, we’ll have to wait and see. Now all I need to see is Allan in for Brodie.
Edit - so Bedard, Dach, Nazar, Slaggert, and Reichel all in. |

If you like these kind of things, CHGO Podcast had a decent interview with Vlasic yesterday, they talked to him for about 30 minutes.
https://www.youtube.com/live/Wwzex-Q12jw
If Bedard doesn't get the "C" after Foligno, Vlasic could be the guy. Probably should get an "A" at least eventually.
Edit: The back half of this podcast, they played a recent interview clip with Taylor Hall, one interesting thing he mentioned is that his impression is that the Hawks are going younger for next season. At least seems the vibe is gonna be less vets and more young guys playing in spots from day 1.

Compared to the start of the season this year they're quite a bit younger now. And KK and Lev are still down in the A.

It will be interesting to see what happens. In-house, there really aren't any more young guys ready than what they have in CHI now. Maybe Moore or Greene could be in on opening night. They could trade for young guys I guess, not sure how easy it is to trade their vets for younger established players. Does obtaining Frost, Norris, or similar count as "going younger"?
They will have to spend $20m to even get to the cap floor, so that adds vets and takes away spots from young players. Would be nice to get Rantanen or Marner, but if not, maybe Ehlers and Boeser or something. |

This is a blurb from Powers' article the other day highlighting your point...
On opening night, the Blackhawks’ average age was 29.4, the fifth-oldest in the league. It’s now 26.5. It’s starting to look —and feel — like a rebuild. |

Allan, Crevier and hopefully EDM are potential trade chips this summer unlike the last offseason. I think it would take a real player coming back to get KD to breakup Crevier and Vlasic. |

Depending on what happens in the draft (say the Hawks take Schaefer), you could potentially add KK to that list. |

Well,let the speculation begin
@DennisTFP
From Kings HC Jim Hiller......
David Rittich in net ...
Otherwise, NO changes which means Drew Doughty in, Brandt Clarke out (2nd consecutive healthy scratch).
Have at it. |

I find it difficult that a team would be looking to trade a very good young defenseman, unless there is a serious problem with him. |

@CRoumeliotis
Taylor Hall and Sebastian Aho are late scratches for Carolina because of an illness.
Watch the Blackhawks screw this one up |

But then again they did trade Faber. Not sure why they did that honestly. |

I’d like to see Reichel step up tonight and be noticeable, be strong on the puck, get into and win puck battles, go hard to the net, come back through the neutral hard and break up rushes. |
