Nick Lardis with 2 goals and an assist through 2 periods. - rickboardman
I’ve been watching the game and I’ve watched him play three times in the last week and a half. He may be the fastest player in the Hawk system. He can flat out fly but he’s able to play at speed. He’s also much more involved in the play than he was last season. Last year he cheated to the perimeter quite often.
The opposition is the Brampton Steelheads and their captain Porter Mortone. This kid is a (frank)ing beast, a great fast skater, a great shot and he’s extremely physical. Hopefully the Hawks have an opportunity to draft him or Hagens |

I was saying two years to make the playoffs...last year
So I didn't think they had any chance to make the playoffs this year, but I figured next year they could make it as a wild card team.
If KD and LR keep up this pathetic pace, there is no way in hell they make the playoffs next year.
Hope people stop going to the games and I hope nobody pays for their stupid app.
I wish fans would give the finger to the bears and blackhawks and stop going to games and buying their sh!tty merchandise - captainserious

Mortone would be a great addition! I think Lardis has put on a little weight since last year. He seems stronger and as you say, more willing to go inside. With Nazar probably coming up this season, adding Lardis next would bring some much-needed skill to the lineup. I don't think Lardis would be out of place going straight to the NHL.

There's definitely help on the way if patience is practiced. Candidates for future regular fixtures could be Lardis, Nazar, Rinzel, Levshunov. Then I'd be happy if two of Moore, Boisvert, Vanacker
Greene, and Kantserov make it to the bigs. Throw in a top 5 pick or better next summer. Unfortunately, Bedard will be 2 or 3 years into his 2nd contract before these kids are ready to make contributions. Just have to wait it out. |

At this moment Lardis isn’t ready for the NHL. He has NHL skating and speed, he has an NHL shot and he thinks the game at a high level. But he’s only started playing a full 200 foot game and getting more involved. There are a few posters who seem to think the AHL is a waste of time? Rockford is there to help players work on the weaker parts of their respective games. It’s also a steppingstone from “boys” hockey to the best toughest league in the world. Lardis has lots to work on. |

He’s not ready, unless you want to see a repeat of Kirby Dach or Korchinski. |

If Ken Harrelson was doing Hawks broadcasts, after a score he would rarely use his trademark phrase "Put in on the board. YESSS." |

Day drinking? Both of those guys are solid. Anderson is never going to produce much in the way of points, but gets to pucks and gets them out of the zone when needed. If you think that about Richardinson, I don't think I can help you.
What does Kurashev do well (or even better than those two)? - Chunk
Solid? You never even know Anderson played unless you look at the scoresheet.
I don't think that about D1ckinson. I know it. He can't handle the puck. Loses puck battles like he gets paid for it and He can't win a FO to save his life. He is a fringe, overpaid NHL guy.
Take a drink every time you notice either one lose a board battle. You will be a friend of Bill W in no time.

Yeah, Anderson's game is as a defensive forward. Kinda hope you don't hear much about him. Richardinson's a 3rd line center who has put up a few points. He's going up against most teams top lines all night. Not saying he's Bergeron or anything, but maybe a pinch of perspective. |

No forward currently except Bedard would be much of a loss. - LAHawk
Disagree i think D ickinson is becoming one of the best shutdown centers in the league. So much so he would garner a 1st round pick. |

D!clkinson adds some value to the team, however Anderson doesn’t bring anything for me. I focused on Anderson during the Seattle game, and I did not see him win one board battle, not one. |

Teams don’t pay 1st round draft choices for a defensive center that has hit double digits in goals once in his career. |

However if you do find one of those teams that would do that ... you do it in a heartbeat ... if said 'desirable' trade target is on the rink at practice - you drive over there ... go get it - put him in the car, and on the plane - don't even stop to have the guy take his skates off ....
"Wha?, you wahn who?? Hang on ....." 5 minutes later you knock on that GM's door -and present said player ... done.

LA you have a short memory didn't the Leafs trade a 1st and a 2nd for McCabe and Lafferty?
And D ickinson is a superior defender to Lafferty. |

The Penguins, a team sorely lacking descent prospects, called up Owen Pickering. He was a first round 2022 6-5” 200 pound dman. Interesting |
