Iwish I knew .I would say don't retain to much salary ,if any . I heard they are looking for a third team ,that don"t sound good to me .

I am thinking that tying up the retention spot for 5 years is as important as how much is retained. So if retaining, retain half for a better return; otherwise, don't retain at all.

Would prefer to take a fairly large contract for two or maybe three years to give the acquiring team relief. After that the Jones contract looks much smaller compared to the cap. Then again, contenders generally are keeping all their guys to make their run. Maybe that won't work and they have to make the trade in the off season. Would much rather they clear it up now.

Mine had Montreal at 1,Philly at 2, SJ at 3 and Chi at 4.
According to Wiz's list at lines that would mean the Hocks draft Misa.

Levshunov 1 game suspension for the cross check.
NHL trade deadline is..next Friday from what I remember.

Anyone have any coaches they'd like to see behind the bench next season?

When I saw the moves they made in the off season I always thought what he was saying was simply lip service. Launching the coach was more likely him wanting to see/try a different style of play. When you're really bad, like the worst, adding a few middling vets does not the needle move. You're still really bad. A few of us here thought that before the season began.
- rpeters01

Fair enough. Just come out and say the rebuild continues then.

Launching the coach changed things for a bit but we are back to mostly vets in the lineup and Bedard playing with bottom 6 guys.

Arty is always really chippy, smacking the opposition sticks looking for a response...

Good point on the number of spots , i keep forgetting about that . .I still feel Jones is valuble asset ,will be a huge addition to anyone of the condenders . I hope KD makes them pay for him ,he's not a rental

If you see the actual cross check, you can tell he didn't mean to do it. He got crossed checked first and was just returning the hit. After he did it, he just stood there. It was as if he was thinking , I didn't mean to do that.

I expect this to end with the TDL. I think we're just showing our vets are healthy. Otherwise, I will be pissed as well.

Arty was probably reacting to the acting performance.

Arty's stick is part of his method to show the oopposition he is out there, as he is always using it!

Prime Ryan Suter level of stick work? I’m ok with that as long as the player is on the Hawks. 🤣

I still feel the Hawks shouldn't retain much. No point. They don't improve the team if they trade him and retain a bunch of salary. If they retain half, then the return would have to be pretty big, more than a team will be willing to pay IMO.

Arty smacked him,but it looked like a bit of an act.
I don't mind Arty being a bit of jerk out there. The Hocks are gonna need some of that.

That's what tankathon gave me a few mins ago.
According to Wiz's mock draft we'd be out of the Schafer/Hagens running, but would end up with Misa or Martone. Though I don't think either of them would sniff the NHL next season from what some are saying.

If you're Jones do you do that trade? I take my chances with KD's rebuild before I go to Columbus.

You might get one of Sillinger or Vorokov, but not both.
