He got kicked out of quite a few faceoffs late in the season. Maybe that was part of the reason why too

As the old saying goes when it comes to faceoffs,”if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying”.

I don’t care where the Hawks draft as long as they get Misa.

Not sure what algorithm tankathon uses, however you would think that the Hawks would end up top three more often than fourth, and they’re not getting Misa with the fourth pick.
58.7% chance of top 3

Hawks will get the 3rd pick this year if the trend continues.... 1st pick - Bedard, 2nd pick - Levshunov, 3rd pick - ????

Considering they have at least the 4th pick, I'll be happy if they draft Schaefer, Misa, Hagens or Martone.

Don’t know why but I’m leery of Martone, I could be wrong, according to the wife I’m wrong on many occasions. Man it’s cold up here in IL.

You in town, i think it's nice right now you missed the minus 0 degree fun in Jan and Feb. Although i did go down to NOLA for the first week of April and did enjoy humid and 80 degrees for the week.

If we are lucky enough to draft Misa (seems to be the choice of many on this board), what are the thoughts about signing Will Cuylle (Rangers) to an offer sheet?

Even with the cap going up, the Rags have just under $10 million in space, but need to sign a numbers of RFA's, including K'andre Miller and only 18 signed players. Miller will eat at least 6 (if not more), leaving $4 million for 4 players including Cuylle. Rags would be stupid not to match but would need to buy out or move someone to make room (Kreider could save them $2.5 million if bought out).

Offer him $4.5 (only costs a 2026 2nd) - not sure he would take it but... He plays big, has skill and a great shot. He could play on the wing with Misa and Bedard and provide the physical net front presence for that line.

Looking at the UFA's I really do not see anyone signing with us, other than maybe a severe overpay on Brock Boeser. Otherwise I do not see Marner, Bennett, Tavares, Ehlers signing here. Think we will need to trade of offer sheet someone.

Rangers are low on picks this draft so perhaps a draft day trade involving 2025 pick(s) and possibly throw in Crevier’s rights. Cuylle is projected for $3.4 mil bridge deal.
As far as UFA’s, I think Ehlers or Boeser could be interested in joining but feels like the plan is to let the kids play and add UFA(s) in 2026 but just my opinion.

I really like where we are at now, sure we ended up with the 2nd worst record but there was some serious young talent traded and signed for during the last half of the season.

Really curious to see what they do this offseason but i don't think they have to chase any move, imho this team is laying a great foundation.

Just a reminder the 2010 team was built primarily through the draft. The main reason they couldn't keep it together was because of financial mismanagement

It was a big deal not dropping out of the top 4 in this draft.

I've seen most have dropped Hagens to #4, I won't be disappointed if that's what they get for "losing" and dropping as far as they can drop

They’re going to get a good player in the top four, but I’d rather pick top two.

Hey Darth! Been a while and hope you’re well. I know you were a big Greene fan from the ’22 draft I believe. Just two games but thought he showed well in them.

Greene played well, but I think he’ll start the season in Rockford. I doubt he’ll play a full season there, I expect his situation will be similar to Nazar. Although I expect he’ll be a middle 6 or bottom 6 forward.

It’s great to see the energy on the team to finish the season. I think that all the young guys on the team. Let Greene get acclimated to pro hockey in the AHL for a few months then bring him to the NHL.

I don't think i've ever seen anyone post a tankathon where the Hawks didn't drop, so i'm assuming its Hagens or Martone.

Hawks aren't winning anything the next two years, all these guys i'd run through the Nazar process at a minimum.

Well, Paul (and other Leaves haters), it's time again to watch Toronto soil themselves when big boy hockey begins.

Enjoy!
