Some of us can remember The Rolling Stones Faces album from circa 1978. It had the cut out picture of faces like whatever it was three or four rows, columns
It was a famous album particularly after a lawsuit and future album cover had blanks for the pictures
Well if it was a matrix and the faces changed after doing some mathematical add and subtractions
But instead of The Rolling Stones
Update 2025/2026 The Blackhawks roster
All the new faces
Late add: think of a matrix or this way as well: The Hollywood Squares long running game show with its matrices (because the stars who answered the questions was an ongoing changing cast of faces) To those who don’t know about the show, it was a tall frame building front with no wall in front, just an open air front with a podium or piece of furniture with the stars of Hollywood each having their own frame like a three or four story building. They had to answer the question, true or false and could give a false narrative. Paul Lynde the comedian was a staple on the show with his wise cracks - jhawk59
I saw a commercial Hollywood Squares is coming back. "Uncle Charley for the win."

There were four hosts of The Hollywood Squares. The host I recall well is Gary Marshall. He had a son with a different last name who toiled briefly for the Chicago Cubs played first base I believe. Challenge if you know who the ballplayer’s name is. Cmon’ Steve Rain and 6628 you can remember this. Oh you too Wiz - jhawk59
Peter Marshall was the host, not Gary or Penny Marshall's ex husband. |

Gary Marshall was Penny Marshall's brother- I think you're thinking of Peter Marshall - father of Pete LaCock.
Technically Pete LaCock was Peter LaCock Jr - Marshall being a stage name. Also before it comes up Allen Ludden was married to Betty White --something to do with Wisconsin -and ok I had to look it up Mineral Point Wisconsin ... a bit west of Madison (did a lot of lead mining there in the 19th Century)... since we're talking about game show hosts of the 1970's. - SC116
I think he was Penny's ex husband.

I love our little place here. Slaggert played like 4 games and we've established his ceiling is Entwhistle and Johnson.
PS: I can type LaCock, but I can't type D!ckenson - vabeachbear
I have no idea what his ceiling is? |

Speaking of former Cubs first basemen with Hollywood connections, Chuck Connors, the actor from the old TV series The Rifleman, was a Cubs 1st base prospect in the the early 1950's. - boilermaker100

I messaged Ek. Just give us a clean sheet of ice every game day. “Game 21, Hawks vs Stars”. The posters will add plenty of content.

People are not native to the Americas in general. Or Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific Islands or Asia for that matter.
Between 16,000 and 30,000 years ago people walked or took a boat to the Americas so pretty sure that everyone is a "migrant".
Other than Africa no one is really "native" to anywhere so were all kind of in the same boat. - fattybeef
I do love the new discoveries being made lately. Other homo species contemplated an after life thousands of years before homo sapiens. Even better, it appears that humans were in the Americas at least 25-30k years ago. Walking around the same time as the largest land mammals to ever exist in the Americas. We call originated from Africa. Migrated into the Middle East and then onward from there.

Blackhawks probably were not going to give this kid an opportunity..Perhaps KD was never convinced Rolston would amount to much. If Rolston wanted out, then good luck to him. Nashville has a few prospects at Milwaukee certainly better than Rolston BTW |

Opening up a spot on the 50 man roster? Maybe a precursor to a 1 for 2 trade or a pick for a player trade?

TNT studio co-host Paul Bissonette got into a fight at a Scottsdale restaurant the other night. Here's his version of the event. Studio show on TNT should be fun tonight.

Is AZ one of those states where you can carry an AK over your shoulder with a Glock and 44 Magnum on each hip to go into 7-11 to get a slushy? ..... Biz better be careful engaging the public, especially in those states where folks are geared up for an invasion or coup.

Assuming Kaiser is back I'd guess Crevier will dress and Brodie is a scratch even though he had as good a game as a Hawk as he's had v PHI. |

That is a damn beautiful thing. Hopefully the US side comes out pissed and makes it a game but man, CAN is stacked. Great chance for you to see Scheafer skate and read the ice live. I was aware of Cameron Smith but man this kid has some real speed, skill and plays with jam and they said he's only 5ft 7in.
Watch Misa closely if you can. I gotta think the Hawks love the kid as a legit centerman with size and very skilled. Looks like a probable top 6 NHL C. And, whoever passes with Martone on the board does so gritting their teeth. No, he's not a centerman but is he the type of wing you pass on a possible top 6 c for? Is he that much of a difference maker as a power player?
Aitchenson looked as good as anyone. Skated really well. He has to be climbing up some boards. ....... A lot to see, Paul. Enjoy.

I hope we put up a good fight tonight against Dallas and find a way to come away with 2 points.
Seemed likely that Allan was going to be the odd man out on the back end based on the lines posted after practice yesterday.
Vlasic-Murphy
Kaiser-Martinez
Brodie-Crevier
It's a bit of a battle on the back end since Jones is out, but have to give kudos to Murphy/Vlasic and the others for stepping up. It's helped that Martinez is got back just before Jones got hurt and he is filling the spot Murphy would normally be in on the right side so that Murphy can fill in for Jones. Martinez has to be on his offside, but the plus is that Brodie can play on his stronger side (left) since Crevier is a RD.
Just an extra addon, Murphy doesn't get enough credit for the bounce back he is having after last year. I was skeptical about his health as it seemed to be trending worse. He is playing top 4 minutes, best on the team in plus/minus at +4, 3rd in even strength points on the team, number one Dman in 5v5 Assists and Primary Assists per 60. He isn't flashy or making the big offensive rushes, but considering he gets fed a diet of Dzone starts, he deserves some credit. He makes good passes up ice and plays a hard physical style that we don't have too much of. |

I think it was the hockey writers or one of those publications that think Schaefer is going to be at that Makar level of impact defender and has a really good chance at going first. |
