I would keep Michkov with Poehling and Richard for a bit at 5 on 5. That line does not play against the top lines so the defensive responsibility for Michkov is a little less.
Andrae looks really good. Sanheim has also looked very good all year. Ersson is very good in the shootout. Nice win for the boys.
I am also good with Michkov sitting here and there. It should not be for more than one game though. He has things to learn. But I do not think you learn much by sitting out.
After I read this, for a minute, I couldn't remember who the current captain of the team is. I don't think the next captain of this team is on the team yet. - Dkos
Boom! I love this post.
I think this is a problem. Remember when we knew right out of the draft of 2003, Richards was gonna be our next captain?
So has Risto done enough to be a reliable 2nd pair Dman? 5.1 miilion with 2 yrs after this season is not a bad cap hit if the answer is "yes". Really want to see the plan getting rid of players left with term on their contract off a very mediocre roster. A Risto, Farabee, and/or Laughton trade by the beginning of next season signals some hope Briere does not love his current mediocre roster- not convinced yet Frost divorce is happening and a rather easy decision at this point. - Trox88
I think Risto has played well. He’s currently this team’s third or fourth best defenseman. If he stays he stays, if he goes he goes. This team is on the road to nowhere, especially after extending TK.
Joel Farabee I think is having a full on disservice done to him. He’s been absolutely welded to the third line with second unit PP time. No matter how many changes made in the line up, that’s the one constant. Farabee is factually better than Owen Tippett who I actually like…

The lack of center talent hurts the production of players like Farabee, Tippett and Foerster. I think all three are capable of providing more points. TK will produce well at 5 on 5. Michkov will also produce well at 5 on 5 starting in the next few years.
Until they add better centers I do not think you will see the best of Farabee, Tippett and Foerster.
I think it's a positive that Andrae has played so well. Once everyone comes back, just sit Zamula. The problem with JD, is that we really can't afford to give up on him yet, so he should play even if it's reduced minutes for the time being. Who know, he may have hurt that shoulder again and may be gone for a while despite what the team is saying. - Hextall271
What do you do with EJ? Someone has to go or they carry 8 D

I think Zamula would easily pass thru waivers. Also, EJ or Risto could get traded. They could also carry 8 D. With three goalies that only leaves 12 spots for forwards.
So somebody has to get moved. Sending a waiver exempt player back would be the easiest move. I am hoping for a trade of some sort.

Sit him. There will be injuries as there is right now. I can't see a world where they are all healthy at once. My scenario is based on JD coming back, but who knows if he does. I will say this, you don't sit Andrae anymore. If anything keep him at 18 to 20 mins a night. Not 25 though.

Good point but Tippett was at least good the past two seasons. I don’t even believe he should be on the left side anymore. It’s just not working.

We do need to improve skilled centre depth That's quite obvious, but what is also concerning is when many players get grade a scoring chances like they did last night, they still can't finish. TK and MM are exceptions IMO, although TK had a brutal finishing night last night. I was glad to see him get the SO winner because I think he would have gone crazy after the game had he not..

TK gets a major pass from me since he has 17 points in 16 games on this dogpoop team

Yes. Fantastic. One of my favourite flyers all time. I’ll never forget the goal
He scored in 04 to crush the leafs and their fans souls haha. Pure gold.
I love the name drop of players as we know them but most importantly, I love the manning up and public apologies. I had no idea him and Tony Amonte had a falling out.
