Not much of a controversy. We signed quick as a legit backup to help out Shesty. He's doing exactly that. Unfortunately yes you ride the hot glove and that right now is quick. If Shesty wants to get mad, then he needs to play better. Also needs to play better if he's asking for 12 (frank)ing million dollars

Provocop, welcome to NY

Solid win tonight. They got back to wins like last year. Good start to probably a much needed road trip

Regardless of this season starting to think they build around Fox Schneider and jones on defense. Need 3 new dmen if we are being honest

Mancini looks good too. I really think they just need 2.

Jones is making a case to be a regular top 6 guy. I just worry about his size in the playoffs

Second line center and a top 4 defense man will cost probably over 12m in Cap space. It will be interesting what Drury does.

His ability to exit the zone cleanly is a big reason why he needs to be in the lineup. Plus he and Schneider have the been the team's best d-pair

He moves the puck well so he’ll be fine there. That’s why I replace miller and Lindgren with bigger defensive dmen at the tdl

Thoughts on Mikael Granlund as a center? Havent followed him much after leaving Minnesota, but he's an UFA this year and still has wheels. Also, wonder about Brandon Tanev for some playoff grit on the 3rd line.

Looks like he's bounced back a bit, I know he was looking like an albatross contract at times. I think that would be a decent option if he was available for the right price.

Plus.. Granlund being from Finland. Could add some additional spark to Kakko to have a fellow Finn on his line. Maybe...

(frank)ing soft Kakko has been playing with grit this year. I like what I see. I would say promote him to Line one but playing with Krieder and ZIb might not be a promotion

Kakko is a different player this year. I haven’t said a peep negatively about him lol and this thrills me tbh

when I comes to trade options this coming season up until the trade deadline, it really seems like the only chip we have is our 2025 1st round pick

so whatever they do, they better use that chip wisely

It's a definitely an interesting position for NY. I don't think should wait till the trade deadline to acquire a C if they feel like Filip is done. But I know many teams that are kind of in the race right now, will probably hold onto assets until they feel they are officially out... I hope they don't wait till March.

I like Johnny B more than most but more like a flex player- he cant produce enough to make the 3L a scoring line. He is a Band-Aid there. Without a trade - we would have to make the 3lL a checking line

CK- Zib- Kakko
BTL
Cuylle- Smith/JohnnB/Vesey
Edstrom - Carrick - Vesey/Johnny B(or a call up)

Not very scary
