I saw something about fires in your area/you were taking about on a website, so I clicked the link to see how bad it was.
Again. you just got your place back.
Please reconsider. |

a few years ago we had a fire at a nearby shopping mall. the town apparently fell in love with fire that day.
i have alibis for every fire! in fact, you guys are one of my alibis. for my fire, i'm pretty sure i was sitting here talking to you guys when it started! |

well you also have to consider the nature of the injuries, for Caufield it was his shoulder, which directly affected his shot, and in Dach's case it was a knee injury, which could affect him in a lot of ways in his game. I'm not saying he should get an indefinite free pass, but there's a strong chance he still isn't 100% comfortable out there.

Reimer woulda been a decent pick up, low cost, no cap implications option.
They passed on that.
So what do you think?

I don't think Reimer would've been a decent choice, so I dunno lol.

He has decent stats last year, veteran, would probably not be worse then Primeau, and is on a 1 year contract for $1M, that can be fully buried, if needed.
Regardless, I think a better than Campbell... just realized he was on a new contract for 750K.
Still would take Reimer over him 99.95% of the time.

yeah I get it, I wasn't expecting him to be taking this long either, but I also don't believe that his talent and level of compete have completely gone down, so I presume it must be a matter of time before we see the good ol' Dach back.
if not well I guess Hughes will have some work to do to figure out who the (frank) is gonna play at center on that 2nd line.

Still think they should put the first line back together, live with what they have for a second line right now (however that looks), put Laine on the 3rd line when he comes back (for a week or two), and then put that second line we had penciled in at camp together.
roll along to the end of the season and wait for Demidov and Hague...

in 25 games he had a GAA of 3.11 and a save % of 0.904...

that is not a viable long-term solution though, the mothers being (frank)ed or not.

And what are Primeau's numbers...
A Vet presence who has played in a big hype market not making much money is not a bad idea, all I am saying.
I do not think Primeau lasts the season.

I get what you're saying, but I just don't feel the habs missed out by not claiming Reimer, which I don't really see as being a far better option than Campbell.

Laval is crushing it, 12-2.
Connor Hughes as insane stats, it would be nice for him to get a shot at playing in the NHL at 28 would be a nice story. |

Well, you know my position on the Habs goaltending, and maybe I have been jaded by Dryden, Roy and Price over the years, but this is not going to work.
And I am not saying Reimer (or whomever) solves all our problems, just saying having a veteran presence might help.
