I do like Letang. I doubt he wants to leave and I'm fine with that. At least he still gives an effort.

Karlsson on the other hand, can wear the same uniform he wore last night. No way he broke a sweat.

It would just be nice if sone of these “kids” drug the team into the fight on a nightly basis. I don’t care about losing, Father Time is undefeated, it’s how they go down that’s so discouraging. Sign some Canadian junior players for (frank) sakes. All Euro and college kids.

They should call up Bokondji Imama and Jonathan Gruden. At least they would bring it every night.

The only way things will change is if fans stop showing up. Want Sully or Dubas gone? We are stuck with them until the economics of keeping them no longer make sense.

It's crazy to think we are this bad/lifeless and we haven't even started trying to tank yet... Something has to happen here one way or another.

IDK... The tank began last season when they didn't negotiate with Jake. That was the first signal. Trading Jake for futures and taking bad contracts for picks (Hays/Glass) equals a full on tank. I'm still trying to figure out if signing Gryz was intentionally adding a boat anchor around their necks. That idea might make me feel more comfortable about Dubas. If he signed him because he thought he might help them win....well....

I don't agree with how it's being done. I certainly don't agree with keeping Sullivan (he's absolutely a net negative on this team), but they are definitely tanking. Just haven't announced it.

I agree, I don't think we much in the system to do this. We had at least ten guys who played last night that didn't seem to care if they ever play another game in the NHL ever again. There has to be a way to get some physicality in return. Either by trade or waiver wire.

18:36 of ice time all situations and 2nd game in a row with zero SoGs. The leader be leading by example. 🙃

I think I heard he wasn't in the locker room after the game. If so that's a rarity and might say something about how he's feeling.

Maybe he was upstairs giving little Duby a piece of his mind?

Glad I missed the game last night. My boys both have hockey practice on Fridays so I get home too late for most games.

Unless they're trying to tank for a top-2 pick, why are they still playing lazy terrible vets?

What vets? At times I’d say Crosby, Malkin, Rust, Karlson look lazy at times. Beaullivier had looked better than Rust most of the season, Glass and Hayes were having pretty good years until injury. Accairi isn’t lazy. Who are we talking about?

Karlsson is the worst offender of loafing. He absolutely dogged it back on the 4 on 2 goal.

I'd call out O'Connor, Malkin, Poulin, Nieto, Ponomarov, and Rakell last night. I don't remember a single one of them hustling back on defense or playing the body when back checking.

Grzz has little interest in going into the corner or boxing out in front of the net.

Pettersson is slow. I think Karlsson is rubbing off on him, he has to be getting frustrated.

Number 1 question mark is Grz. Why is he in there over anybody? Presumably they want to boost his trade value, but how is being the worst Dman in the league doing that? (He had the most mins last night at EV on the team.)

This is hard to watch. This team is flat lined as far as an offensive pulse is concerned. There is rarely a scramble around the offensive zone net. In contrast, there is always chaos around the Pens net. The give a (frank) tank is on fumes, and Sully looks lost one minute, and like he will spontaneously combust the next. The only thing interesting the rest of this season is going to be what return Dubas gets in the fire sale.

Can I just say that I feel as though this team is just built terribly. I would have rathered us get rid of everyone the past 2 offseasons outside of the big 3. We should just have WBS players (young players), because then when we have losses and poor efforts like we continue to have all season long. Then I could at least see a reason for it.

We need to do something. Maybe trade for Zegras or Nother young talent. Or start trading everyone away now even if it is for cap space. I do not see it being possible for this team to be competitive in any way within the next few seasons the way this team is playing. If Dubas really wants to tank this season to be competitive next year with some aggressive moves. I think it starts with some solid younger talent and I think if he can acquire that young talent at any point including during our season we are tanking he needs to do it if the price is right.
