Just think of how many assets they could get for Fox is kind of what I mean. And jones is emerging which is only reason why I’d even mention it. They are the same exact skill set for a fraction of the cost
Trocheck is guilty by association right now imo. His contract is really a bargain - Slimtj100
If they retool I would keep Laf cuylle Edstrom Fox Schneider jones Igor Tro Kreider Igor panarin
If they trade one of Igor panarin Fox it’s looking like more of a full rebuild.
Having Perrault and emery in the pipeline is good. They have zero center depth tho |

To repost from last thread in response to JRR…was last year just an outlier for Trocheck? Maybe we have too high expectations for him
Also Zib is one of the worst contracts in the league. Too much money, too many years, no move clause throughout and buyout proof. What an anchor on this team - TPC
I mean even with last season he's averaged a 58 point pace over his career. He's a 50 point guy that can get on a heater every once in a while.

Nah. Decent chance you're facing a guy making his first NHL start. I wouldn't worry about it. |

I get it, but Jones while appearing similar is unlikely to have even close to the same ceiling as Fox. I also think they could keep both if they pair them with proper shutdown large D-Men that can skate well.
Trocheck looks as bad as everyone else at this point. If he does not bump his production up I don't think of him as a bargain, but I think he can be much better. - JRR1285
I think the longer standing guys are the problem. Trocheck gets pissed off and I like it lol none of these other guys are even mad it seems like
At least Cuylle and Kakko and making this season somewhat enjoyable for us. Not many others are

Dude you’ll have the puck the whole game. You could play with an empty net and still win lol you don’t realize how bad the rangers are right now |

I think they are trying to keep their cool and while I can appreciate that most of the time, I want to see them playing with anger at this point. Even if it results in a call or two. Just look involved, look like you care. Break a f ucking stick, something.
Like the game against Washington after the Wilson fiasco. Do a f ucking line brawl. |

I’m on board with Lindgren being gone, but with Trouba being gone, Miller being soft and Fox…our D will be the smallest and softest it’s ever been next year and we’ll be doing this all over again
Rangers should try and get Jiricek who’s out of favor in Columbus. Hes a big kid and value is probably down some

I can’t trade Igor. I get the idea but we literally have no chance without him. This season may very well end up as a lost one as it’s trending that way. But next year regroup, dump whoever they can and move on with the kids and some new life
Between Chytil (with good health obv) Laf, Cuylle, Kakko, Jones, Schneider and potentially Perrault, Berard and othmann that’s a nice stable of kids to become the new “core”.
I think Panarin should be immune for all the nonsense along with Trocheck. But anyone else should be on the table to be moved, yes including Fox imo. I love Fox, but his size is a detriment on the top pair and he’s never been fast. Our d is very slow and soft. Get a defensman or two with size and more mobility and go from there - Slimtj100
Fox hasn’t had a “wow” moment all season. He used to deliver 1 a game. Maybe it’s because his partners have been brutal. They would be tiny out there, but why not try him with Jones? Miller and Schneider would be fine for now. |

I don't think you are taking into account just how much we have to worry about right now!!
We are very close to being afloat with ripped sails, a broken rudder and no oars. With sharks in the water and signs of scurvy starting to show.

I think Mancini is the Trouba replacement.
That leaves replacing Miller AND Lindgren. Get in two larger mobile guys who actually hit. |

My take on this mess. The veterans on this team outside of Panarin and the goalies look totally disinterested. That includes a guy like Fox and all the others. They just look like they dont give a crap and are going through the motions. I believe the way dDury handled the Goodrow and Touba situations over the summer caused a lot of damage. They no longer look like a team who would go through a wall to win but a team disinterested in going the extra mile. The young players have all stepped up like we had hoped but the vets as a group have fallen off the cliff |

The net front presence is really bad this year. The opponents could sit and bbq steak before they score a goal in front of Shesty/quick. And they don’t handle the rush either. Good times lol |

I just think Drury is fed up like the rest of us. I’ve defended the players forever and I’m even fed up with some of them. You can only blame the coaches/front office for so long |

Going into last night the rangers were 1-6 verse teams currently in the playoffs. Been beating some average teams so far
If it wasn’t for Igor and quick standing on their heads most nights I feel they would have 5 or 6 less wins. It’s crazy but this team based on play should be 7-12-1 ish.
Need new players lol |

I have a thought, do you think the players would perform different if Drury was fired? I mean... if our team was performing as expected, I don't think any of us would neb complaining and open about trading all of these players... If its culture, Drury may be the one who has to go, which will convinces future players of how the NYR are committed to having a healthy culture and environment. |

Good question, honestly don’t know. Dolan seems to love Drury and he just helped take them to the ECF last year. I don’t see the rangers firing him yet. It would take another season like this for it to happen imo |

Laf, Fox, Miller, Schneider, Kakko, Chytil, Perrault, Cuylle, Berard, Emery
Rangers 2nd in the league in goals from U23 players and our best prospects aren’t even up
There’s a real chance to turn the ship around and focus on the next core, and that’s a positive |

20 game mark and it even at 12-7-1 the ship is sinking and is definitely rudderless. Aside from Cuylle, KK, Jones, Schneider, Smith and Igor this team has no drive nor passion. They play passive, uninterested and lost!! The leadership group is disinterested. When you dismiss a player favorite as Goodrow, no matter how we felt about him, then trying to trade Trouba and the dominoes fell. Leadership is gone, Trouba knows he isnt wanted and will be traded soon and his play looks like it. Mika is a shell of himself, I dont know what happened. He hasnt produced 5v5 in 2 years and I think this is the version of him for the next 6 years.
Firing Drury or Lavy wont do anything, this is on the players to turn it around. If this team doesnt start to play with some intensity then I dont think Igor will/should not be resigned. What a cluster (frank) this team has become. |

If they fire Drury it’ll be the worst possible thing they could do. Because he’s at least drafted very well the last few years where the next core looks to be very good
