I'm done with them trying to make him something he'll never be. Send him packing and lets move on. A player shouldn't need this many healthy scratches to figure things out.

He has played with skilled line mates all year. He has been 100% playing inconsistent or just not good.

It is well past the time to start producing. Horrible comparison to Sharp. 2 different circumstances

Full steam ahead with this core group of players. As soon as some cap space opens up Jonesy and the coGM can overpay a sub elite player and market them to the gullible fanbase as an elite player that will get them over the hump.

Competitive team with a short window to get lucky! Mission accomplished!

He played with a purpose last night. Unfortunately, that is not the standard for him. Still sucks we have to watch Poehling and Laughton every night. He should play but I have zero faith in him becoming a consistent player.

Or there is the flip side. Stop healthy scratching him and maybe he'll figure it out faster.

He has played one good game all season and has been terrible for the rest. I'm a Frost supporter but it's premature to ask after one game. "How do you like him now"

If a team wants to unlock 60 point Frost I think they need to move him to the wing. JMO

Most nhl players and former players have no problem with healthy scratches

When the time calls for it.

And Frost has been in the league long enough, it's about time 💩 or get of the pot

He seemed to have some chemistry with Michkov and Tippet last night…they were very noticeable….for Christs sakes leave them alone for 3 or 4 games. For all the bows Torts takes for the unexpected success last year the failed development of some of these youngsters will be his legacy I’ll remember.

I don't have to tell anyone that I'm not a Tortorella fan. He deserves credit for applying a structure and getting buy in but he is out of coaching bullets. He's done a horrendous job this year handling players and in game coaching. The line juggling rate was absurd. With Tortorella, when the only tool you have is a hammer, you see everything as a nail.

This might sound dumb but in my eyes it makes sense......

I would rather move Tippett then move Frost.

Depends on the view point. You might get a better return for Tippett. He can score. The jury is still out but there is a danger of this being another long term contract signed by the Flyers that might back fire. I never saw him as a player that was worthy of an 8 year deal. The Flyers continue to struggle in decision making.

Lets hope Tippett gets his game going. I think a trade would be tough given the term. Otherwise, this will be another 8 yr contract that will be an anchor. I like Tippett but they should have never given him that term.

No offense, EK.

Miss Billy Meltz as well. Read everyday, now I come here sporadically to see if there is anything Flyers wise, I need to read.

Any other forums worth visiting?

Thanks!

Kind of hilarious that the excuses for Frost are still out there. Michkov was scratched for 2 games, and came back and excelled. Michkov is 19 and Frost is 25. Something wrong with this picture? Eh what?

The lines should be left alone from last night. I liked that lineup before the game and I liked it after the game. The only change I might make would be to bring up Richard in place of either Laughts or Poehling. Those two are really fighting it right now.

Yeah, 4 years would have sufficed. I like Tippett and still think he has 30 (if not 40) goal potential. I mean, the guy can generate his own chances and has the shot to beat most NHL goalies. Right now he couldn't hit the Atlantic ocean from the jetty. I would play him with Frost AND LEAVE THEM ALONE cause they had chemistry before. Tippett has been brutal up to this point, but we shall see how things go from here.

The problem I have is that he remained scratched despite the poor performance of other players who did not get scratched. Players who were performing poorly at the same time Frost was, yet stayed in the line up.

Well, I think last night may have been a good example as to why Torts picks on Frost so much. He showed lots of skill and was dangling with the puck all game. He actually was controlling the game at times against a big/physical team. Perhaps Torts sees this in practice all the time and then gets very frustrated with him cause Frost simply doesn't do it enough in games.

This is just a guess, maybe the coach doesn't think they were playing poor. which is a whole other issue.

I really do not believe Tippett's contract will not be an anchor. With the cap rising, his cap hit will be in line for 2nd line wingers. He-s a shoot first forward who needs to be fed the puck. When Frost gets scratched, down to 1 center with somewhat creative passing ability. Just hit the net more- rebounds on a save is not a bad thing.
