Kind of hilarious that the excuses for Frost are still out there. Michkov was scratched for 2 games, and came back and excelled. Michkov is 19 and Frost is 25. Something wrong with this picture? Eh what? - Phillywhiteout
Well, for starters, Michkov is an elite hockey talent and Frost is not. |

I don't think you have ever talked to anyone who says Frost is an elite talent. |

I really do not believe Tippett's contract will not be an anchor. With the cap rising, his cap hit will be in line for 2nd line wingers. He-s a shoot first forward who needs to be fed the puck. When Frost gets scratched, down to 1 center with somewhat creative passing ability. Just hit the net more- rebounds on a save is not a bad thing. - Trox88
with his speed he could be and should be a force on the backcheck, great way to stop the other team and create a turnover. While not scoring, he needs create TO's and feed Frost and MM, going the other way.

If he had enough hockey sense to read the play that might work.

tippet has poop for brains. low hockey sense. - login This is an issue that I think I overlooked. I knew that he had trouble using his line mates, but I guess I didn't realize that he really struggles with thinking the game at the NHL level. He DOES NOT see the ice very well. He also has a really good shot, but I have noticed that he seems to struggle with one timers.

Taking a couple of teams into overtime means Philly is playing solid hockey? Look at their record against teams in a playoff spot. Terrible. Last year they missed the playoffs by 4 points. That was solid. This year they will miss by 10+ and finish bottom 10 in the NHL. |

The problem I have is that he remained scratched despite the poor performance of other players who did not get scratched. Players who were performing poorly at the same time Frost was, yet stayed in the line up. - MBFlyerfan
It's also cumulative in how it affects a player. One player scratched 2 games isn't remotely equal to how Frost has been treated in his Flyers career obviously. Frost has even been scratched when he was playing well. I don't think this coach will ever give Frost a fair shake. I don't see Frost developing here as long as Tortorella is here. |
