I went for my first outdoor skate yesterday. It was amazing. The ice had just been installed the day before so it was still translucent but it was cold and hard. I was sporting my Marner Stadium Series jersey. I did laps for a while and when I stopped my Strava distance was 9.67 km.

So Columbus trades Jiricek and a 2025 5th for Daemon Hunt, a 2025 protected 1st, a 2027 2nd, 2026 3rd and a 2026 4th.

Hunt is a 22 year old near-ready defenseman. I don't think he projects to be anything special, but including him along with 4 picks for Jiricek is . . . a lot.
